Callum O Hare To Wrexham

Anyone thinking we would replace COH for better in next 36 hrs are plain thick. Cal is the only creative force we have in the team, he’s also the only one that can max out for 90 minutes. To even suggest it could be OK to let him go makes me sick to the stomach.
He’s currently first on the team sheet for me and thinking selling to a current mid table rival is plain bonkers and thoroughly unfair to season ticket holders. Brooks and Hamer going was daft this is unthinkable.

Wilder said that Wrexham have bids in for several players in the same position. Seemed fairly relaxed in it but there were very few if any questions asked on the chances of a replacemet at this stage which I found annoying that nothing was asked. It will obviously be a loan. And by now you'd imagine that all the decent loans will be already gone or will have multiple clubs in for them.

I know there's the argument that players become available for loans late on. I do find it very annoying that we're not looking at permanent players for say around £2-3m such as from abroad or League One and sign a loan player like BBD to compete with a permanent player. Maybe the budget just doesn't allow for this.

I've always been under the belief that footballers were meant to inspire.
When Brooks and Hamer left I recall the message that we'd replace with
like for like. Clearly that was meant positionally not in quality.
Replacing one central defender with another only matters if the replacement
is equally as effective, hence replacing the likes of Brooks and Hamer was
never going to be easy. If we lose O'Hare we'll have the same problem to deal
with, and looking at the players Wilder has brought in so far it's doubtful if
we'll be able to find someone comparable to O'Hare.

I hope the new recruits go some way in making Utd a competitive side but I
somehow doubt this will happen. Replacing inspiring players with
uninspiring players is guaranteed to deaden the hopes and aspirations of
any supporter. Something is wrong at Utd, any thought there might have been
of a promotion challenge has been killed off. We have a Board who fail to communicate
with the supporters of this club, they seem incapable of either assuring or inspiring.
They're an embarrassment, and under their watch we're rapidly becoming easy pickings
for any club with a few quid in their pockets.

We don’t have the confidence in scouting network to sign players from abroad. Like you though I’m surprised we don’t tap into lower leagues more, something Wilder always did from 2016-19

“Under consideration. We know that usually means fighting over who will hit “accept”!

They won't turn down any sizeable offer for any player. They are trying to find what they owe for the club.

Once that's paid off it might get scarier. How do they continue to run the club??

Surely they are looking to sell up. Please god.

God I hope so! This is not on Wilder…. These owners have screwed up from the moment they appointed Selles last summer. Maybe it was the right thing to replace Wilder…..but honestly the consequences of the Selles appointment and subsequent transfer window are going to hurt us for many years I fear. So I really hope that they sell up sooner rather than later.

I don’t think we’ll ever see them again at Bramall Lane.

I could take losing Hamer. Wants to go back to Cov, PL team etc. But if we sell COH to Wrexham I will be fuming. What a total shower this club has become. It's gonna be a long arse season already it might be even longer without any creative spark. Honestly. Its beyond belief we are entertaining a bid for him

Hopefully another team accepts a bid 1st. Our resolve seems easily broken as of late. If he does go, I sincerely hope they have a plan. Personally though we needed another creative player before this bid, if he goes we'll need 2

So it's not just Wrexham!? That might indicate that his agent is driving this but that might be wrong. If he's had multiple bids then it's obviously far more likely he'll go.

I get the no permanent players up till now because we're obviously skint but if OH boes as well then that's over £20m of player sales albeit you get these things in installments etc as we all know. On that same basis there's surely merit in bidding for someone permanently such as Reyes Cleary bearing in mind he's our asset not someone else's like Donovan who is only 19 and nearly played any senior football. With OH being a number 10 we could not replace his position but rather sign an out an out winger and Chong can play number 10 anyway.
