I know a big jump and a different league but having the Disney channel I watched Sevilla vs Atlético Madrid, due to injuries (potential Beattie flu) and others, Atlético setup without any recognised strikers it was a “fluid/dynamic formation” of either 4-4-2 or a 4-4-1-1 using AMs and CMs and wingers. I know it wouldn’t work under Wilder but with our block load of midfielders, rather than playing a set way they moved the ball about, the problem for Sevilla’s defence was they didn’t know who was the target man/men as it could have been played to at least 4 men in and around the penalty area and defensively they were strong as could get all men behind the ball
