With the news that Worrall is about to sign on a permanent deal for Wrexham…. I reckon Adam Webster is the best guess now to join us. Probably after the window closes - as he’s an out of contract free signing.

I think Wilder still hoping for Souttar - bit with Webster as the alternative now. Although he is a few weeks away from being match fit!

We're not going near Souttar anymore. Webster is a decent enough bet, more enthused by that than Worrall.

Being a free agent there is no rush to sign him before the end of the window anyway, if we are still interested.

I agree - can only imagine that we just don’t think he’ll be fit enough quickly enough. Otherwise he’s the best option we’ve been linked with.

It’s just pure greed and a waste for one of them.

They currently have Cleworth, Doyle, Vyner, Hyam, Scar, Coady.

I understand they are in the process of releasing Coady but that would give them 7 centre halves. Bit much isn’t it?

They are letting Coady go and Scarr is signing for Salford on a permanent deal.

I know they want a competitive squad but it does feel like that Doyle, Souttar, Cleworth and Worrall should all be starters.
