Harry back on loan, or sign someone else?

He was at the game Saturday, hmm and he's supposed to be a pig fan?? Part of me wants him back for the short term personal gain and stability he would bring. He'd be happy playing every week, we'd have a solid Centre half, he's getting his £10k, 20k whatever a week, all good. However Harry wanted to leave for 'footballing reasons'. Which effectively rules out playing for us

If that short term gain is getting us out of L1 then yes, I would take that every time...

Funny because no one can guarantee that but history has shown us that a team full of loanees at the experience of your own players leads in a downward spiral.

We need to assemble a team which will not only gain promotion but will carry us through to stability (in the first season) within the Championship.

I can't understand the logic of gaining promotion then losing Harry back to Hull which will create a hole in the team for next season.

Lets bring on the new players such as McGahey so that it all just needs tweaking and not massive upheaval.

No chance, he stated he didn't want to play for us, so grant his wish, leave him to his DREAM move to Hull and concentrate on players that care, no time for greedy billy-big-bollocks

Why do we want him back?

There's Collins,McGahey,Bulter, Kennedy all capable of doing a job there

Hes gone lets get over it!

I wonder if we can get Shane Duffy on loan and then loan Butler back to Walsall?

This. Does everyone take short term gain over the development of our younger players. It seems Clough has primarily signed younger players for development so what do we do, sign some loanees who have no commitment to the club or develop our own talent trusting the Manager knows what he is doing?

Harry would not be worth what he was to us without the game time and development invested in him. How are others going to develop playing U21 and reserve team football or out on loan at Oxford United or such?

Brayford? Coady?
No Commitment to the club? - I beg to differ there.

And the host of those who took us on our downward spiral to the place we are currently sitting don't trump the two you mention?

They were all B.C. though (before Clough)
Dont think he would put up with that sort of thing. But you are right with the others, we just need to get the right ones in

Harry has made his bed let him lie in it, why develope a player for Hull City when we have our own young centre back to develope. Sorry, Harry didn't want to be here so let him fuck off and stay away.

You can't blame a young lad for wanting to leave to play in Europe and the Premier League when he's already given his heart and soul for us over a period of 170 games.

Jesus, is anyone allowed to leave?

Warnock?

Harry not made an appearance tonight,so maybe only got lge cup/fa cup to look forward to this season...maybe 4/5 starts this season, wonder how he'll handle that especially after dawson signing ?

I'd only take him on loan if his weekly wage cost to us (including any loan fee) was no higher than he was paid last season. More likely he will end up in the Championship. I'm not sure the good teams get centre halves in on loan????, I may be wrong!

If I am right, there is a high risk he will end up at a struggling championship club and he may find it hard work with the team conceding a lot more goals than he is used to conceding.

Not even on the bench today for Dull.
One way of keeping the splinters out your arse 'arry.
Have you heard where Slew is now?
Did you not heed the warning?
Still, there's always bowling at Crystal Peaks to get some competitive action in
(is there a bowling alley there? Wasn't built when I left Sheff)

I heard Bruce bought Harry solely on the basis of the Cup semi. Had he watched more of him he would have seen that Harry's lack of pace and mobility was always going to mean he would struggle in the Premiership.

I was never that impressed with Harry Maguire bar his first full season. He did have the makings of a decent Championship defender, and could read the game well, and was strong in the air and on the ball and blessed with an excellent range of passing, and excellent control, but his weakness was he often slow and ponderous on the ball, lacked pace, and could be prone to errors.

Him and his agent obviously decided during the summer that he was too big for the club that had invested a lot of time and loyalty in him, and forced a move away. He has now got that move, so he is no longer our player now, and it is up to him now to make his own career.

I think the big stumbling block for any move for Harry Maguire will be the level of wage contribution that Elephant man wants from any loan deal. What i did read in the paper earlier what i found astounding was that Burnley aren't bringing Chaboleh on loan in from Chelsea because the wage contribution they want for his 35k a week wages is out of range from Burnley. That is astounding that a player like that is on so much money. The game has gone mad.

Hull need to loan him to a Championship club to get experience there because he'll be first choice for them in that league next season after they've been relegated and all the rest of their CB's have fucked off

If Bruce bought Harry on the basis of our semi final then he's more dumb than he looks,Maguire was shite that day,he got ran ragged.Oh,and they scored 5 goals against us aswell.Good scouting Bruceo_O
