Rob Staton on first:

What's going on? - what's going on? we got a game tomorrow taht's whats going on. we were decent last week. been briefed by owners but can't go into it. I know people want to know. Not my job to talk about it, my job to look after players.

Anything you could share? - Nothing to share Rob, sorry. Working with players etc

Have u asked owners to communicate anything to take pressure off you? - Biggest relationship I have is with Steve. Then talked about prepping players etc. Want to talk about football, Swansea. Appreciate you have to ask but I need to focus and crack on.

Is it true Souttar hopes are over? - There's a bid in at the moment. I'm looking to add to replace Gus and 1 or 2 more.

Is there any money to spend even? - Loans

Can you get quality you need with loans? - its difficult, nowt b4 weekend, some deals may come from left field. Impressed with Cooper, restored his value. Chong's shown glimpes but we've lost our talisman. Need to replace that position.

Was it laid out to u when you signed new deal that would be this difficult? - we have added to the squad. was delighted to sign another year. some stuff has to stay within the club. have to work within means, no parachute payments. Sure well get 2 or 3 we need when window shuts

Is this as tough a time as youv'e had? Rather not have it but have stood up to challenges before. does make it harder to attract players. Have to dig in.

Louis Marsh? - needs to go out and play football. Spoken to clubs inc Barnsley

Swansea? they're off to a great start, can hurt you can be hurt. Need to keep up our defensive form but be better at top of pitch. Last season they took advantage of defensive frailties to get back to 3-3

Injuries? a couple having late tests that are doubtful. Opp for someone else to come in.

Danny Hall:

How do u approach difficulties? long answer, I lost track, stuff about digging in and work with steve and coaches, get a team out

What's the general theme of your chats with players? Just have to get on with it

Is this making you consider your future? No. I did regret leaving first time after covid.

How close is Kalvin? - great, a football question! He's close. Will be a pos effect on the group.

Is this where you need experienced players times like this? Yes their influence is key. Not one player in there that's not fully committed

I noticed he said a couple of times that the club have released a statement. Have we? I haven't seen it but i could easily have missed it.

Content-wise, I think CW did really well to partially hide his obvious disappointment.
Something has clearly changed recently regarding our approach to player recruitment. When asked about whether our interest in Harry Souttar has ended he said as far as he is aware we still have a bid in for him - but this was straight after he'd confirmed that all our business will be done via frees and loans. So maybe our bid for HS is a loan with an option? It wasn't clear.
He's clearly not happy, but he came accross well.

Thank you. Appreciate the summary 👍

There's a bid in for soutter.. Is there any money..no it's loans...doesn't make sense..or are we trying to get him on loan..can't see Leicester having that.
On loan is exactly what he's hinting at, bare in mind Leicester are up s..t creek without a padel and will have to reduce their wage bill.

I guess our offers were rejected and we just gave up because we have nothing else to put on the table

Towards the end of the interview it's interesting that Wilder said on his regret of leaving the first time in 2021 that he thought he'd have taken us straight back up in 2021/22 had he not left. I wonder what makes him think he would have gotten us that immediate return because he didn't manage it in 2024/25 after we were relegated in 2023/24 did he? The point being he was relegated from the Prem with us on that occasion and so had all pre-season plus we were also right at the beginning of receiving parachute payments.

I also remember at the beginning of that 2021/22 season (he was out of work at this point) he was asked by the media about our chances that season and he replied "They'll be nowhere to be seen". We came from lower mid-table and finished inside the Play Offs, finishing higher than his Boro side that missed out on them.

Does he have a poor memory or is he trying to re-write history?

That’s a great interview by one of our most underrated players. Nice to hear e really articulate, positive view from the changing room 👍
Nice to hear that he is here just “to kick the ball”” ! Training must be going well !
