Player Suggestion Souttar played and scored last night

Jake Cooper is not in his mid 30s and he doesn’t have a shocking injury record. He would need to tick at least one of those boxes for us to consider him.

I am sure he will be on our radar
 
I assume with us talking about holidays we don't know who's won the race (albeit slow one) for Souttar?

We’re incredibly lucky in the United Kingdom. So many beautiful places to visit and see. Been to Edinburgh, recently. What a beautiful city that is.


Mind you. Coventry is still a shit hole.

Yeh but we would need to ensure we spent the whole £ on Dore etc and not tarting up the financials like the Prince did when he was desperate to sell the club.
We'd still come straight down but at least the club would have invested in its future and not lined the pockets of journeymen & agents in a forlorn attempt to stay up.

yes walk away, I think Baptiste and Mcguiness can do a job for us this year if we concentrate on the goals, spend the dosh on a goal scorer, the other end of the pitch, Souttar may be ok but injuries are going to happen so if we sign him we still need backup. Get a grip blades for some reason we have just blown our forward line with the sale of Hamer and Brooks, Souttar aint going to score too many, our defence could be okay so why the emphasis on this guy is the saviour, I just don't get it.
 
I think the reason that Wilder has tunnel vision on Souttar is the way he commanded the defence in his half a season with us.
He just seemed to project a calmness that brought the best out of the players around him. It showed after he got injured and we started to stumble.
Wilder will be hoping for a similar impact again and, it would seem, is willing to overlook his previous injury concerns.
It is a big risk, but if it works, could be the difference between a top 8 finish and mid/low table mediocrity. It could also have a big impact on Tanganga as the pressure will be off him to be the leader of the group and he can focus on simply being a very good defender.
The big risk is, him having a recurrence of previous injuries and then we have to resort to either finding an alternative (if possible during the transfer window/free agent market) to fill a big space, or having to utilise a promising, yet inexperienced Baptist or McGuinness who WIlder has already told that he doesnt fancy.......

The issue I have is, who can we identify, who has the attributes of Souttar that would be a viable option?
Webster as a free agent, who, if fit, could be a good addition but also has injury concerns recently?
Cashin. Not as commanding a defender as the others.
Anel. Dont think he will be back in the UK any time soon. Could see a move to Italy for him.

Lets see what happens over the next week or so.
 



The fact we’ve obsessed over one player all summer and not been able to get the deal done, wreaks of ineptitude. We want him, Leicester need the money, the player wants to come and we’ve STILL not managed to get it over the line, now he’s signing for fucking Deadpool. Makes us look pathetic.
The fact we’re starting this season with a markedly weaker team than we ended the last, is a piss poor reflection (but accurate) of everyone involved at the club.
Today has the Bristol City game written all over it.

Yeah, probably. But if they do that, have a plan b, so you get the power back. We’ve gone all in and shown our hand so early, we’ve let them dictate all the negotiations

Last season we threw away so many points due to our leaky defence. If we fix that play offs are possible
