Really? assuming you listened to the same interview I heard, it didn't come across as 'more than likely'.

I think he said 'we'd love him back' and 'well see how it develops' depending on their cup involvement etc. I'd love him back, but I imagine if he was made available for loan there would be championship clubs willing to snap him up. I believe Clough also said something similar.

I'm imagining that Maguire coming back would mean that we would have to be funding part of his massively improved wages out of the pittance that we got for him.
If that was the case why not just keep him in the first place and then either get the compensation for him or have a go at re-signing him if we are a Championship club by then.
This is not happening because it is just to stupid for both us and Hull, if they want to loan him out it will be to a higher placed club than us so that Bruce can see how he makes the step up.
