Player Suggestion Souttar played and scored last night

True but other clubs walked away when it got past £5mil and we are still bidding on our own. 😄
I can’t imagine we are the only club to ever do that though, if a club wants a player they will keep bidding (we didn’t accept Coventrys first offer). Everyone can clearly see we need strengthening at CB, so I’m certainly not against pushing the boat out to bring him in given we have all seen how good he was last time he was with us.

What other clubs walked away?

Wrexham seem to be one and I am not sure how bothered West Ham are in him either.

When you factor in that injury history I'd be surprised if they were still interested at the price it seems to be getting to now.

Michael cooper had one bad injury and has averaged 38 league games across the past 6 seasons
Not really 1 bad injury. He did his ACL then few months after coming back did his MCL in other knee.

We signed him he then missed several weeks due to another knee injury and then he missed back end of the season (several weeks again) due to a back injury.

Here's a bit of info - but don't pass it on - We're not 'bidding against other clubs'
We're trying to come up with an offer that Leicester will accept to sell Souttar to us.
Are we still paying any installments to Leicester for Cannon?
That said can't see that working out financially for either party. Nor Cannon wanting to drop to L1.

I don't mind paying decent fee for Souttar. I think he's top for the championship and possibly could be good for PL at lower end watching his WC exploits.

But I'd want the fee staggered to suit the slight concern over injuries.

Get behind the Bim Pepple or Abdul Abdulmalik campaigns.
Watched BP last night. Big unit, good feet and an eye for goal.
It is all about opinions and I respect yours, but he is a big lump, saw no evidence of good feet and he handled one chance and the goal he scored was made easy for him due to their defence playing keystone cops and the keeper falling over.
On the evidence of last night he will never make it in the championship

That's fair but the last 2 seasons we've played about 50 games each, so he's missed about 20% of them. I'm not sure how that compares to other keepers, but still seems a fair wack he was missing.
