Well Blades definitely ain't getting promoted so count that out. I'd be more worried about playing Rotherham or Barnsley personally. Gus will naturally perform better at a club deep down he's always liked more. We're like 3/4 players away from having a real go in the Premier League that doesn't include Gustaaaaaaaavo.

Strange how once we lose a player, how shit he suddenly turns out to be.

Don’t see it that way. Huge talent and great to watch but I got hugely frustrated every time he lost he ball and “tried” to recover, only to bring the man down and get another booking to take him to a suspension.

The difference is when Hamer was with us we had Hamer and Gyokeres and that was about it. They carried us with their play.

When we sold them we bought our present side and squad with the money. Hamer won't be 1st choice with us, but he will have better players around him than he has with you. He will be playing in the middle where he is at his best.

And as usual a very good player for a club becomes a not very good player for different reasons once the player leaves.

Player of the season last season blah blah. Suddenly no tracking back, poor at tackles and too many bookings. How many cards last season and how many games .missed through suspensions?

I hope you get thumped every game in the PL and eventually find some humility - but on the latter, I won’t hold my breath.

See this is what irks about Coventry fans, insisting on his best position. That’s just your view. It’s not fact.

He had better output with Sheffield United where Wilder picked him. That is a fact. 174 mins per contribution vs 229 mins in the Championship and he didn’t have Gyokeres next to him. Even then I’m not insistent upon it. He’s good in a couple of positions. That’s it.

Anyway, he goes with my best wishes. I haven’t dissed him at all. He’s been a good player for us in recent years, not as outstanding as Iliman Ndiaye but probably the next one in recent times and he always gave 100% and you can’t ask more.

Humility? The one thing missing by many on here. When you were good and we were poor I was welcomed by just about everyone. Now the tables have turned? But I still want you to do well and hope you don't go down the route we did.

What you're missing about Hamer at our club is we had Hamer and Gyokeres. The rest of the squad were not very good. We had 2 players carry us to.the playoff final against Luton. Hamer went off injured then our chances were over. You had some very good players with him.

Think Wilder said yesterday, any transfers will be frees and loans. Sounded like we are going to use our small bit of cash for the CB (£8m for Souttar seems too much but I would probably agree its the number 1 position that needs someone in).

Not sure who is still floating about in the free market, so guessing LM will be a loan.

I had no issue at all with them but now I've seen enough. Will be checking on this clown whenever they get dicked next season. It's like they've had their first beer. This is just a tiny taste of how insufferable Wednesday would be as well. Must be the nearly 25 years of being utter wank that makes them so giddy. Such a nothing club/place my instinct is usually pity for clubs like them. They'll soon find out how fun the Premier league is. I'm sure they'll make lots of rivals in their own imagination while they're up there though.
