I've never fully understood why so many West Ham fans seem aggrieved because the Blades sought justice for being cheated out of the Premier League. At least Big Sam has a sense of perspective:

Aware deep feelings still linger between the clubs, Allardyce admitted he would target victory on Tuesday for the West Ham faithful.

“I think the reaction is to get a team out there that wins, that’s what the fans want us to do on the basis of that situation that arose at that particular time,” he said.

“I’m not so sure how guilty Sheffield United were on it, but that’s really nothing to do with me.

“It’s about me making sure that they go home happy on Tuesday because they feel aggrieved about what Sheffield United did, so if I can do that for them it will be great.”

It still pisses me off that they have been made out to be the victims.....
Agree, but it also pisses me off that Warnock got us relegated from been in a very good position.

We got ourselves relegated, but they still cheated and got away with playing Tevez and Mascherano after they had cheated,so to be honest,at that moment in time,we were both guilty of two different things.

Eh? Is the guy on this planet?

How guilty were Sheffield United? They weren't!
West ham fans feeling aggrieved about what Sheffield United did? We took it upon ourselves to try to claw something back after the Premier League was cheated. How can west ham feel aggrieved? They kept their premier league place despite cheating!

Allardyce really shouldn't be commenting at all if he knows nothing about it

Yep, should have been Wigan's problem, not ours.

I was so angry when I read this in the Mirror online this morning that I put my foot through my iPad and sent the bill to Trevor Brooking.

On a related subject I won't be wearing my colours tomorrow night, and I'll be leaving my wallet and key chains at home.

I might find a nice towpath to walk along pre-match though, as has become customary for me so far this season.

Warnock got us relegated ? What a load of shit !

Forgive me, but he did. Having done a very good job, on limited resources, to get us to The Premiership, he proved, as many expected, to be wholly out of his depth at the top level. He has emphasised that undeniable truth subsequently.

Wholly out of his depth? We were relegated by one goal. If McCabe had loosened the purse strings in 06-07 as he did for Robson in 07-08, I am sure we would have got that extra goal to keep us up.

Our wage bill wasnt competitive enough at top level , thats what got us relagated warnock got us within a whisker of staying up on very limited resources and you only have to look at the shitslide thats ensued since he left to confirm that he did a great job at a very unambitious club

If we hadn't played so negatively in a lot of our matches,we might have got that extra goal. He's tactically inept at the top level as proven at QPR.

I know some of you dont like the guy but to say he got us relegated is just not true, next you will be saying if only he had played two strikers at villa we would have won 10-0

That's one of the great myths of Bramall Lane. 38 points would be enough to stay up in most PL seasons and we would have stayed up had one of our rivals not cheated.

Warnock was an adequate bottom third PL manager in 06-07.

He was too busy signing development players when the first team needed some Premier League quality.

Warnock failed to sign a single player of genuine Premiership Quality. He wasn't allowed to spend a great deal but what he had, he wasted on players who were simply not good enough. The cumulative total would have been far better used on one or two who were comfortable at the top level.

Ten points clear of relegation and looking safe. Warnock and McCabe, in equal measure, failed to grasp the most golden opportunity the club has ever had.

He has, in several attempts, never managed to keep a team in the top division. Yes, wholly out of his depth.

Warnock wanted to sign players, who he could rake some money out of;)Him and McCabe were a match made in heaven at one point. He was a good manager at Championship level and below, his record speaks for its self.He had shit loads to spend at QPR so don't talk about him never having the financial backing from any body at the top level.

Everyone knew, at time that that 10 point gap was a false gap as it were, given how the fixtures fell. We all knew the gap would close given we still had Chelsea, Liverpool and Man Utd to play away.

Warnock was desperately unlucky in 06-07. We were relegated by the narrowest margin possible. Had West Ham not cheated, had we scored one of our pens v Blackburn, had we not had Kozluk's goal ruled out at WHU, we would have stayed up and there would have been none of this shit about NW being "out of his depth".

Had we been relegated by 10 points, you might have a point; saying that he was out his depth when we were relegated by one goal is just ludicrous.

Not in the Premier League he didn't. Neither has he done a "great job" for any other club at that level. He should have been sacked the day after we won promotion. A competent top level manager would have secured our place, real money would have kicked in, and the story would have been very different.

All the conundrums you point out can happen at any clubs in that league in that season, not just ours.

So warnock made money out of our transfers ?
So are mark hughes and harry redknapp also good managers at cchampionship level as they have also had shit loads of money to spend at qpr and flopped ?

Evidence would state otherwise.

You make my point perfectly. What other manager would utilise such a numpty in the Premier League? That is but one example. We could go on, and, knowing you, you will...
