Wrexham played Leeds last night in Florida in front of 29000.

While we played Rotherham.

Yet some of our fans insist that we are much bigger than them - 'because'
If we played Leeds in Florida straight after the World Cup 29k would turn up. We have chosen not to go to the US pre-season and I'm happy with that.

we have had 63 seasons in the top flight ,,, just 63 more than wrexham .. 7th in the championship is the zenith of their history
and theyve had 15 seassons in tier 5

The major problem for me is all the eggs in one basket, yes Souttar did a great job at BTDBL but if he gets injured we don’t have a back up, I would rather we have 2 CBs we are targeting, even if one is a loan deal to at least have cover. I am still in uncertain on Tanganga neither mind McGuinness
Bang on

Think you have to be invited to something before you can choose not to, otherwise I've chosen not to join Sidney Sweeney in the bath at the Ritz and I'm happy with that too.

IF he comes to the Lane will be cup tied IF we get past Mansfield 😆

So it's been banded about weve offered 8m for Souttar, I know we need to strengthen the defence but I think that's way over the top

I kinda always thought that Souttar wouldn't land.
It was a strange one that we were apparently discussing a bid for several million yet no other money for fees was available elsewhere.

Was it just a bit of PR play or were they ever really serious about signing Souttar?
Why if not Souttar can we not look for other players for fees?

Gonna need some good loans here...

Seen..where exactly??
Sheffield United

Sheffield United's pursuit of Harry Souttar is effectively over after The Star learned the club's owners have again changed tack in the transfer market, with no significant permanent signings now expected before the deadline.

I think a bid/bids went in, even flipping El Accounto reckons we did bid despite him siding with PA on issues around the club.

I reckon our bid/bids were likely a fair chunk lower than what got reported.

“Changed tack”. From not making any signings to, erm, not making any signings. How can we trust ownership that makes such crazy turnarounds like this on a whim??

In fairness, I'm sure he wanted to.
Agreed but I did expect him to try and recreate his transfer success in his first period with the club, ie, getting in hungry players with good attitudes and modest transfer fees, instead, he’s gone for a has-been crock on big wages who we don’t need anyway and trying to spend circa £8m on a centre half, again with a questionable injury record.

Where are the Stevens, Baldocks, O’Connell etc?
