He's also not signed a contract.
If he wants to be here he'd sign. He knows we won't let him go for free next Summer.
 
Absolutely dreadful video with Wilder. Won't coach the talent coming through and we'll only sign passed it/injured journeymen players. Has any club wasted it's Premier League years more than we have?

Had always supported Wilder but last conferences and players he seems to want, omg... We really need to find a manager who can rip apart the backroom/scouting and start again.

I’ve just had a look online and a few links to West Ham earlier in the window, saying he was on their list and they want 2/3. Looks like they’ve got 1 in from Chelsea close today nearly 30m. Mad

I think Leicester have changed their mind about selling now. He’s their captain, they’ve lost another centre half to a season long injury & they may think we can afford him for this season if we go straight back up. Think this boat has sailed sadly.

Nah, he's still available. He still has a transfer request in. I just think we need to offer £2m rather than McGuinness

I wouldn't trust my knowledge of up and coming managers to put names forward. I worry for the season and assume any academy players will be ignored in favour of cumbersome also ran players and leave for better career prospects through clubs offering coached progression into first teams.

We have (maybe) the best CAT2 academy going but a manger who's said he can't/won't coach them into first team players so we're obviously not going to sign any promising young players either. No development or sell on. More 'Rothwell' types (BBD inevitable incoming).

I think Wilder has lost his passion for the job, maybe football altogether and our backroom probably still use Woolworths note pads for scouting notes.

Needs root and branch rebuild and a true football encyclopedia bringing in at board level to oversee it all.

People who want Wilder out are many but few can ever put a name who they would realistically want to replace him.

The ship sailed with a few managers that may have wanted a few seasons ago. Some of those their purple patch has passed and have been jumping from job to job.
 
None off this is wilders fault...he puts names to bettis and the board then it's out off his hands it's not like playing football manager.... unfortunately I think we are waiting on money from player sales to bring in these targets but that might mean we lose out on our targets plus we won't just spunk money like other clubs do over the years .... teams like Middlesbrough ect have done this for years and if they don't go up soon will end up just like us ....

We need an alternative

There are a number of clubs interested and Leicester are in a v strong position to seemingly demand more than we are prepared to offer.
I only hope that Wilder has not put all his eggs in the Souttar basket.
 
Wilder looked and sounded utterly fed up in his presser. Resigned to the fact we’re losing Gus & resigned to the fact we can’t afford Souttar, or anyone else that’s going to cost actual money.
Successive times we’ve found the poorest “millionaire” owners in football. We were shit last season & have sold one of our better players. Were bang in trouble.

Sadly, I have to agree that we have wasted our Premier League years. To say we have spent 3 of the past 6 seasons there, what do we have to show for it?

If he would not have wasted money we may have had some to spend.
You only have to look at his signings in January.
Yes he has made money on some transfers and yes he has in the past managed us v well, but he has little money to spend as he has recently wasted it
 
This deal's clearly dead in the water. If Souttar is captaining tomorrow its a clear message from Leicester to say you can't afford him, and likely that is the case too.

He's part to blame though so he can't really blame owners for not backing him because they did but he fucked it up and now their gamble has not paid off. Not sure where we go from here
 
It’s looking like Souttar would have to force the move, hand in a transfer request and tell them he doesn’t want to play for them in league one…if he’s captaining them in a cup game, it’s suggesting they don’t want to sell him.
