Callum O'Hare

Picked a great option for the first goal.

Held onto it for the right amount of time to commit his man and then laid it off at a great weight for a first time finish.

He's been better this season at picking the right option when in the pocket. Last season he often held it too long, passed when he should have shot and vise versa.

I really hope he can develop some better link-up with Hamer when he comes back. They showed a lot of promise together when he first joined but not seen much from it more recently.

If it's 4-4-2 with 2 proper strikers then Hamer is the one you want coming off the left, unquestionably

O'Hare can only come in for Brooks. Which is hard to justify due to the Seriki partnership
 
Wouldn't be surprised to see it keep being mixed up.

Can see O hare starting Vs Norwich. Can also see Brooks being rested at some point too.

Options. And options of players who are currently in form.

Whisper it quietly, but I would say O'Hare is more vital to our overall gameplay than Hamer.

Honestly if Hamer isn’t willing to sign a new contract (he only has a year and a half left) I’d get rid for ~£15m. O’Hare’s been better than him this season, is more reliable and they can’t both fit in a 4-4-2.

Yeah, but apart from the player the season and the goals and the assists and the possession and the pressing and the tracking and the winning the ball back… what did O’Hare ever do for us?

He probably built the aqueducts too.
 
Always gives 100% and is full of energy but woeful in front of goal. Anything outside the 6 yard box is like a long range shot to him. He can even struggle to hit the target from inside the 6 yard box, but an exciting player to watch.

9 goals and 7 assists in league play 2025-2026 - great return for attacking midfielder!
 
In seasons past I thought he didn’t contribute in enough goals because I believe he has goals that n him but that could have something to do with the way we played last season we were more open albeit too open

First season he really struggled with his end product, last season he looked like he’s worked on it and scored some important goals in a really poor team.

He’s one of our better players but needs others around him to step up and put the same amount of work in that he does.

I would guess most of his goals came from within the 6 yard box.

Look back. I gave him praise for everything but his shooting ability. Can be very frustrating at times.
 
I gave him a special shout out in the Bochum game thread. That's because, in the first half, he was the only player who appeared to give a shit. The only player to show a bit of respect for all the Blades' fans who had given good money and considerable effort, to support the club. In the second half, the rest of the team appeared to follow his lead. It's obvious he cares and for that he will always have my respect. He's not without ability as well. A couple of Bochum fans I spoke to after the game singled him out for praise, too. One said he thought he was the captain as he seemed to lead by example.

I'm sure some of our fans watch the game, pick out the player least deserving of criticism, and criticize them 🤣
 
Possibly between Bamford, Peck or him but he looked knackered after carrying the team. I thought Phillips looked good for 45 minutes though 🤣

All joking aside i've actually had this thought in my head when i watch him. I like COH, i rate him but don't think hes particularly fast.
