Lamine sidibe my guess?
I think that's a good guess...

Be good if he's out there with the first team.

I think this will be the player Wilder has spoken about.
Had his contract terminated at SK Brann last week.
Not sure what the situation was with him being able to trial with us in the summer. Maybe Brann wanted a fee at the time and we didn’t want to pay anything?

Matondo probably makes the most sense. Knows the players, did ok in pre-season.
Allows One to be a forward option rather than LW.

Must've missed it - what did Wilder say?

Weird if true as we only let him go a few weeks ago after we'd had a look at him and deemed him not good enough.

Possibly if we hadn't told him no thanks back when we thought we'd be getting better players in, he would have been more receptive to a move

Could be that, or it could be that at that point Brann wanted a fee and we didn't want to pay that?

Wouldn't have been on trial elsewhere if still under contract surely?

Burnley.....

Matondo is the player who made the most sense that we'd bring in after the window closed. I'm under the impression that when SK Brann offered him to us, it was for a small fee. We were probably aware they intended to release him and tried to play abit of a Jairo game of we'll bring you back in a month or so. Its obviously looking like it has now backfired! In my opinion we are so short on creative options that any player is an improvement on nothing from the bench and he'd have been a good signing considering our current predicament.

But he was under contract so we would have done. Unless Brann agreed to release him.
As it happens they have now done that post window closing.

Might turn out this isn't the player we were talking about before the weekend.
I did think though at the time for a low fee or free he's got pace and a bit of trickery and we have limited options out wide.
Seemed like a no brainer, but it was just his previous injury record that was a worry.

I'm going to assume this is the player we was supposed to have signed by now, and Burnley have hijacked the deal?

Hijacked = offered more money while we wonder if he will fit in as Donovan’s ( or Shackletons) cover until Chong is off the treatment table. )Or can cover as right back)
