To me, like a lot of average Championship players, he plays as if he isn't that bothered about being a professional footballer any more. The game drifts by without them influencing it much, until one of the scattering of talented or upwardly mobile players creates one of those 'moments' that everyone talks about.

Hamer, Bamford, O'Hare and, less frequently, Peck, Burrows or Seriki are our current lot for moments. Possibly Donovan if it works out.

Accepting that we are mid tabled dross, so will inevitably need to limit our horizons to dross, thoughtless signings, doesn't have to be the reality.

Peck 12, McGuinness 3, Zatterstrom 3, One 5 - Hell, 2 for Campbell and 7 for Seriki if we get properly desperate - and that's without touching Hamer (9) or Burrows (5 now, 6 if he starts the season well)

Peck will surely be sold but with Blaster's career seemingly now hanging in the balance we're left very short in midfield.

He was NEVER the best forward in the championship.

He got that move to Spain after a period in time where the likes of Ndiaye, Mitrovic, Solanke etc had been playing in the championship.

The big issue here is that if BBD is a target for us, Wilder and scouts are in cloud cuckoo land. BBD had initially a good season with us. But second time he was going through the motions. At Derby he played well 1 in 4 games according to a mate.

We have Chong, Rothwell, Campbell Cannon in the not really trying club already. Plus we are more likely to see Ernest Shackleton on the pitch than his namesake These are the type of players we don't need at the club. Hamer may not be very fit. O'Hare not very fast. Tanganga not composed, Peck not realising he has a left foot. but the all try and they don't hide from the ball.

Even with limited funds we need some solid dependable types to balance out the side when playing Hamer O'Hare and Bamford who have flair but not the legs to cover ground. Riedewald is fine with me as has a brain, uses it and does not hide.

Who we get on loan is vitaly important this season. MGW, Doyle, McAtee, Souttar did well for us. They could play a bit and they wanted to play to win. Hence no BBD for me.
