Right, last summer i was labelled a "bedwetter" for suggesting our business was crap, and looking likely to be crap, as we'd signed Bindon and Barry on loan at this stage last year

Roll on 12 months, we've had a shite season, manager change, winding up orders, and now, im officially wetting the bed again when it comes to transfers. I can see the next player we have coming through the door being another loan, finished off with Matondo being our only permanent, be it on a 12 month contract....
Concerned is an understatement.

Do we have bids in for players? Why are those who are able to interview our manager not asking the pertinent questions??
I don’t think there are any winding up orders in place.

Bedwetting update 20.07.2026

Another underwhelming day in the life of a blade... Doherty signs on a one year deal, understandable, can play centre or right back. However, perennial mid table Bristol City are spending £4m on an exciting young striker.
Oh what's happened to our club.

I am always wearing a senior citizen’s disposable (yet discreet) nappy just in case anyone I come into contact with ever mentions anything remotely about United .

Nick Jansky changes it for me every three days ,under local anaesthetic - he enjoys it
Nick is under local anaesthetic and enjoys it? Hmmm.

Haven’t Swansea just spent £5m on one of our past targets?

At least we’re speed running the decline this time. None of this fucking about post 2008 - let’s get back to league one asap.

Lets try and not get carried away by other teams spending money on X player. Remember we spent lots of money on a young promising striker 18 months ago and look at how it's turned out. Just because teams spend money doesn't guarantee success, we're perfect examples of this over the years. Whereas frees etc we've generally performed better especially with CW.

I was very much against renewing my season ticket, but as per usual, I did on the final day just cos....

I really wished I hadn't though. Nothing changes at united, it's in our DNA no matter who owns us and who's the manager. No cash, scrimping, last minute scrambles for loans and stuff.

We are the very definition of tinpot at times.
I get the sentiment.. but I never understand people considering not renewing their season ticket. Blades fans are not in it for glory… the suffering is part and parcel of following a club like ours. However bad it gets, I’ve never wanted to be anywhere other than Bramall Lane when the Blades are playing. Shout, scream … even boo occasionally… but not be there? I think the only thing that would make me consider that is if we were bought by Trump and I had to conscientiously object.
Reading a lot of your posts over the years, I’m pretty sure you feel the same really… and it’s definitely another very frustrating summer.

Trouble is after 50 years it wares you down.

I’d say 20% makes you one of our most excited fans!

I’m currently at 0%
This must be the first ever season I'm not excited about it starting, normally I am starting to get a bit of a buzz counting down to that Saturday in August but this season no.
Selling Brooks to a rival.
Extending Wilders contract.
Signing 34 year old player from a side in the same division deemed not good enough for them even their fans are laughing.
Not being linked with any decent players to improve us just the TEMU Souttar.
I can only see this season being a lower half maybe even a relegation fight with things turning nasty between the fans.
I'm already thinking which will be the first match I can't be arsed to go too.
There is still time but its not looking good and the sand is fast draining.
