If there's a chance you believe you van make him into a PL starter, it's a good investment. If you think he's just a good Championship player, I think £5m would be better spent on a brighter prospect.Pay it.
I dont see him depreciation at all.If there's a chance you believe you van make him into a PL starter, it's a good investment. If you think he's just a good Championship player, I think £5m would be better spent on a brighter prospect.
Any fee that size has to be for a player you believe will go up in value
Assuming he's not done enough to be a PL signing , he's a year older, no longer coming from the PL to the Championship and a year into his deal, he'll need to have had an excellent season to just hold his value.I dont see him depreciation at all.
Not only that but I think he would stop us needing a forward as well.
I think unless we absolutely bomb as a team this year we'll at least get our money back on him. Not in general, not because he's young (ish) and English, but because I think he's good enough.
I'd happily lose Peck if it means signing him and keeping Gus.
That was Wilders plan as described in The Star articleI dont see him depreciation at all.

No, I get that, and its a good way of looking at it (in a business sense).Assuming he's not done enough to be a PL signing , he's a year older, no longer coming from the PL to the Championship and a year into his deal, he'll need to have had an excellent season to just hold his value.
I think you need to be confident you can make him a proposition to PL teams to spend that much.
It's a shame that the PL premium for players who are nowhere near the first team squad of bigger clubs is so high. No, I get that, and its a good way of looking at it (in a business sense).
That said, at 23 I'd have him over McAtee, and he cost a few bob.
Jayden PhilogeneSeeing as this seems to be Dobboff, who do you reckon are the others on our "long list of left wing targets"?
Cleary
Yes,have to use some money from Brooks,if they won't even shell out at least some of that,we are in a poor state. Will cost a fee won’t he ??
That what your ITK’s in Ukraine are saying?Cleary

Get Cameron Archer back.Probably means they are losing someone.
Perhaps a Hull or other newly promoted team fancy the guy who had the deflected goal against us? Leo Scienza?
Also makes BBD even less required.
Surprised Boro haven’t had a nibble. He settled well there, didnt he?Get Cameron Archer back.
Bladey bladey
To join Cameron Archer presumably - another one who was overrated by Villa who they managed to screw clubs for money for.Off to Southampton apparently
