This is what the promoted teams last year spent or more to the point didn't because of the bloody undisclosed and look at all the frees. The way we have conducted business in all fairness has been quite ambitious by the standards of this league all things considered and with the FFP rules and stuff.

Granted Wolves signed a few decent players and showed some ambition and romped home as a result of it but they had parachute money and everything else.

Why is it wrong to question transfer policy and the amount spent? You don't have to agree with the OP but you do have to question why we have once more not got our key striker and appear to have bailed on several transfers because of money. It's not like we have a record of delivering on promises is it.

I think we should trust Clough and what he is building but it doesn't mean those who feel we have sold our best player and not adequately replaced him don't have a point.

I think its questionable whether we have or not. I'm not saying everything's gone to shit but with our track record of excuses and the fact that like it or not we did sell our best player once again people have every right to ask questions. I'm pretty happy with our business thus far but I still think we are light at centre half and up front. Of course better to judge after a few more games but at this point in time its what I see.

People are always allowed to ask questions. Some people ask questions without really asking though. Some people ask, with the insinuation that to ask is enough to damn the entire club because their question is more important that the answer. Some people ask without really caring to hear an answer.

With each of the signings we have made so far I have asked myself 'would Wolves or Brentford have signed them?'

There will be disagreements on this, but I think possibly Wallace (Wolves linked with him pre-season), though the fact that he has been out for so long with a very serious injury means it would have been more chancing their arm than anything, and possibly Higdon, though he may not have suited the way either of them play.

Hypothetically, I just don't see last year's promoted teams seriously considering signing any other of the players we have signed this window.
