Kit launch is a week today then. Early July in a weeks time, a week further on would be 'mid July' IMO.

The price of stuff on fanatics is ridiculous BTW.

May be a way of getting global exposure though. I don't see any clubs outside of top flight on there

Not bad at all, even at full price.

Don't think this is a bad move. Always prefer the non-obvious fashion stuff from the United shop so Fanatics could provide some interesting options.

Maybe the kit launch will be later this week as we have the first pre season game at FC Halifax on Saturday?
By this point I guess we'll do what we did last year and launch the 3 kits to tie in with the first 3 pre-season games. Which is a crap way of doing it, but does make sense.

Well put it this way I can't honestly say anyones every questioned the legitimacy of my footy shirts but in all fairness I'd never deny it, I buy fakes purely because I struggle to justify paying the money for it.

Before the world cup started the missus ordered an England shirt with our names on them for me, her, her auntie and the little one a full kit and all in all come to something like 65 quid. Had she bought officials it would have been over 250 quid. It's just a no brainer when they arrive and you can barely tell the difference (unless you're in to all this and look for all the intricate details I assume)

I will always order the littles ones kit from DH Gate, witnessed it first hand this morning. Put him in his England shirt for the day and in the space of him walking from the house and round the back of the car he's brushed past and put a huge black line across it. I woild be furious if I'd paid official pricing for that.
In a similar vein, I went online to get Saxon tickets for their City Hall gig next February and they were £57 with £11 booking fee in the stalls or £45 with £9 booking fee in the gods. I mean, £68 to see Saxon. In the City Hall. Gig prices are absolutely ridiculous and have been for years. What has happened to the world we once knew? Obviously, I wasn't going to pay that, so I'm minded to have a look on DH Gate to see if they've got a Saxon tribute band or something instead.

I saw Saxon at the City Hall, paid £5 and thought that was a rip-off.

I think gig prices is largely to do with the changes to how bands generate income over the last 10-15 years. Less money comes.from music sales as streaming pays way less than a fan buying a record, so bands now fleece fans at gigs to make a living.

Nothing wrong in keeping ontop of things and making it better.

Would you rather it be a shithole like pigs? Roof like a cheese grater and tacky cheap old 80s style from when it was last refurbished.
It was fine as it was but now I am fine with a different company paying for this one if the below is true.

I believe Adidas have paid for this one, or at least a fair chunk of it, in return for a section of the shop being purely Adidas clothing

Bands used to tour to promote a record. They now produce a record to promote a tour.

They say 'refurbishment' but all it will be is changing of fascias and the like to Adidas ones. Not like they'll be making it bigger or anything.

Before covid it was planned that Adidas was paying for a complete refurb of the former Meadowhall store. Then Covid happened and scuppered it.
Believe Adidas have paid for the superstore refurb this time, although apparently not much has changed apart from the till area

Screen going in above shop, in the same as elsewhere on South Stand. Might already be there? Not living in Sheffield, I can't see the progress.
