I agree. I think the lad is a good player and will improve but last season I thought he looked like he’d lost interest.

I’m not convinced by McCallum’s quality but he has always put in a good shift and tries his best.

Defensively McCallum is miles better than Burrows, the only downside is what are we planning on doing regarding formations next season, if it is a straight back 4 with round pegs in round holes then we could build a decent enough defensive platform so we are hard to beat. Although I don't like Scott Parker, he showed with his Burnley side the way out of the division was by conceding as few as goals as possible and having a bit of quality at the other end which we have in Bamford. Burrows is better going forwards but does need that covering CB or LCB in a 3-5-2 when he switches off and is out of position.
