Very much the defence needs sorting, the amount of risks they took with playing out from the back was unreal, a better team would have punished England and goals conceded would have been a lot higher.
Yes and no, our third and fourth goals came from playing our from the back.

It looks risky and yes it didn’t work particularly well first half but it’s what allowed us to carve Croatia open.

Just all pals, sharky, ben, wit, browny??, wilder, never seen last guy
Bumped into an old mate yesterday who knows all of them really well and he was telling me about their trip which apparently includes being at the same place ITV are broadcasting from and Fitzpatrick getting them tickets for Shinnecock.

Don't know the lad on the end either - thought he looked like Wes Morgan at first but not tall enough

Oh dear, that won't go down well on here;- a United fan, getting tickets for our manager

Amid shouts of 'unprofessional', 'embarassing' and 'dinosaur', there will be more calls for Wilder out.

I mean, what is the bloke doing, trying to have a holiday with his mates, before a long and arduous season starts?

If you know the secret places to look the forum is full of such comments. If you know where to look……

I wouldn’t fancy England playing against them especially defensively. Although most “easy goals” ie a simple cross the strikers they have are so good at doing the basics well

I think England comfortably beat Netherlands (again). We battered them in the Euros semi-final, 2-1 flattered them on the night.

Having seen us against Croatia, and listened to Barry / Tuchel and the players about the approach, I've never felt more confident. That's not to say I think we'll do it, but I don't see us under achieving.
We're a proper handful for any side at this tournament.

France and Spain are still the 2 to beat. Outside of them, there's nobody we should fear.
Stylistically, Portugal could give us problems - particularly in the heat... and Argentina have the pedigree. But, I'd probably make us marginal favourites against those two.
I'm not sure how the draw maps out, but I could see us getting to the semis at least.

Don’t know why but the ITV commentators saying Cote D’ivory rather than given Germany is not given Deutschland as theirs is annoying

To be honest I am about 10 deep or so pints but given the other night weren’t great we need to be stronger definitely which could see us go further

Gift link above.

This is the first time during a run up to a World Cup where I have next to no enthusiasm. That might change once it starts, but I have my doubts. Normally a World Cup makes my summer.
It still feels the same now 🥱

Chong played well again. Could be good for us either way - he'll in the shop window if the club want to see or a good option next season if he can continue his form.

Some dodgy looking England fans.

(My understanding) ......In 1978 we had club representatives at the World Cup in Argentina looking at players.
Danny Bergara, Oscar Arce, Harry Haslam set up deals for Ossie Ardiles and Ricky Villa to join Spurs, we failed in a bid for Maradona but signed Alex Sabella. Pedro Verde could have been signed about the same time.

OK we weren't brilliant in 1978 but we had a professional approach to the biggest football tournament in the world.

And in 2026 we send a delegation from the Banner Cross.
