Be interesting to see if they keep Azaz. they'll need to cut their cloth and could maybe someone like Cov or Hull going for himSouthampton won't spend big on O'Hare while they have Azaz
We all think we should be aiming higher but as you say hes a top half championship player and IMHO and top 25% one. To get a top championship player or bottom half PL player is going to cost a lot of money and I dont think his position is anywhere near the top of our worries. We need to get 2 good CBs for starters and at least one proper wingerYou can get rid of both of those for a start.
As I've said, I don't mind COH at all. But I think he's limited, especially so by his stature, and his numbers aren't great for a player who spends 95% of the time in the opposition half.
We should expect more but, as ever, we're seemingly happy that he runs around a lot and the quality bit comes second. I think he's a top half Championship level player but little more. Should we not be setting 'the bar' a little higher?
Isnt that where we hope to be Top end ChampionshipWe should expect more but, as ever, we're seemingly happy that he runs around a lot and the quality bit comes second. I think he's a top half Championship level player but little more.

Sorry, I don't possess and encyclopedic knowledge of all the footballers out there. That said, I'd play Hamer there if he's staying for another year.Isnt that where we hope to be Top end Championship
A club in our situation (no parachute money) will not be signing PL ready players
Go on then who are we replacing O Hare with ?
think we should/could do better.
I'd actually prefer to see us play two proper strikers rather than him playing off Bamford.
As I say, Hamer would be my first choice. Failing that I would look at the PL for potential loan signings, something we've used effectively in the past. MGW and McAtee are the two that show you can get real quality for that position as it's one of the hardest for a young player to nail down at that level - they often need to go out and play against men. McAtee might not be the worst shout again as Forest clearly don't fancy him, and to me someone of that ilk is an upgrade quality-wise and fits the exact bill you've laid out. I really don't think it's that big an ask.So what kind of player are you looking at ?
There’s the flaw in your planthere all replaceable if recruitment is good
But if COH want to cash in on COH then COH will do so .COH will be missed but COH must do what COH feel needs to be done .The situation with COH will show how determined COH are to keep COH.
Now there's no parachute money, let's see what COH are made of - will they fund the gap or fill it with player sales?
Louie Marsh could potentially play that position, depending on what he shows in pre season. But its the bar we have, if he goes who plays his position. Not only does he create but his work rate and availability is second to none. Imagine Campbell ambling around in that position or Cannon...infact you dont have to we've seen what they are like !
I hope you're right, but Wilder's experience mantra would suggest otherwiseLouie Marsh could potentially play that position, depending on what he shows in pre season.
No chance Marsh is as far behind Ohare as I am behind Marsh ! He wouldn't still be here if he hadn't come through our academy. Hes 22 in a couple of weeks and in the last 3 seasons hes played a grand total of 29 games for Donny, Fleetwood and Falkirk. If he makes our first team then the wheels really have fallen off!Louie Marsh could potentially play that position, depending on what he shows in pre season.
