We barely had a squad until January and our small squad was run into the ground long before the transfer window opened. Remember the key injuries to Souttar, Arblaster, Moore and Vini?I suppose they were myths too. There wasn't many predicting an automatic challenge on here much as they like to rewrite history. The threads still exist.

Our form didn't fall off a cliff all season . We had a dip near the end but falling off a cliff is a ridiculous over exaggeration.

To 31/12 l believe we achieved around 2.4 points per game ( l actually suggested 8.5/10 for Wilder up to the drop off) January onwards around 1.6. That period includes 3 consecutive defeats against teams virtually everyone would have expected to beat. To me that’s a drop

The initial odds are their opinion as there is no money being bet. Once the odds are up they then start to reflect betting patterns but there will have been virtually no money yet as punters will be waiting for the window to open etc.

So at this stage the odds are largely a reflection of bookies opinion and not betting patterns.

Correct, hence Wu Yize's relatively modest odds (before a ball had been hit) when he doesn't have the résumé to support that. If you follow snooker you knew about him, the same with Xintong. The snooker fans (including me) made the odds lower with the money layed pre tournament. The trick is to get in early and use the exchanges.

Leicester were fancied to finish in the play offs but because of the unknown nature of the points deduction their odds were around ‘mid table’. Can’t remember exactly but in the region of 16/1.

You do know how odds work ? 8 teams are going to make the play offs out of 24 clubs so a 33% chance, thats 2/1 the field everything being equal. That is then adjusted for the quality of the team and perceived chance. Id be very surprised if any team at all is 30s for the play offs( unless there is a points deduction) never mind us

I feel no compulsion to bet according to the odds I'm offered. I bet in accordance with my own opinion on the likelihood of something happening, and whether the stake is worth the odds offered. I'm looking for value. If I thought 20/1 was just the wrong side of achieving neutral on value or even achieving neutral I'm looking for a better lay or I'm keeping my money in my pocket. Walking away from a bad bet is always an option. The bookies are there to make money not offer you favourable odds. The odds always reflects this reality.

Getting rid of Knill and replacing him with Jones is change for changes sake.

I’m not Wilders biggest fan but surely it’s up to him to choose his team not the owners.

There literally is no reason to make this change, Knill has a proven track record working with Wilder and has gained promotion to the Premier League as part of that team, Jones is very much an unknown quantity.

This change makes no sense at all.
