come on Coco.. is it thinking big to expect better than Goode? He was apocalyptically shite the last time. There’s a reason he’s playing in league one at the age he is. He’s dreadful.
Dane assuming our budget is very limited who would you sign? Or are you going with Tanganga and McGuiness again?

I’d stick with Tanganga, very disappointing season for him but with a dominant CB partner he has shown he can be class at this level (albeit with Millwall and sadly not so far with us).

McGuinness is the archetypal ‘head it, kick it’ defender, and whilst I think he has occasionally looked ok for us, he mostly looks like he’s playing above his level, which is probably L1.

We got Bindon on loan last season and after a shaky start he definitely found his feet, I’d not necessarily be against trying to get him back again or alternatively using a loan on another premier league CB - we’ve been hit and miss with loans but there are definitely gems out there that can set us up for the season - Souttar last year for example.

Agree re Tanganga hes going nowhere due to wages and the fee we paid for him, the same applies to McGuiness but hopefully he will be back up. Bindon wont be coming back as Forest will want too much for him and they arent going to have him going out on 'permanent loans'. Souttar would be a no brainer if it weren't for his injury history but an ACL tear and achilles rupture are about as bad as it gets for a pro footballer

At some point we need to develop or sign our own CB but we thought we'd done ths last summer with what looked like 2 decent signings on paper...then we saw them on grass
