Neither did Eckhart at Southampton or Hellberg at Middlesbrough.
Wilder has been a failure this season. There are partially mitigating circumstances but objectively he's lost as many as he's won.
I agree with you much of the time Sitwell but Wilder has had these players for 40 league matches so, frankly, any issues with motivation and system are his. The "desperate argument" is actually that Sellés is somehow still to blame for us failing this season when the incumbent manager has had 8x as many matches.
It's also worth pointing out that our last starting XI had as many players signed under Wilder (3) as under Sellés. Four of the five subs were Wilder signings too so by the end of the match we had 5 Wilder signings, 3 Sellés signings, 2 Heckingbottom signings and 1 academy graduate on the pitch.
Davies - Heckingbottom
Seriki - academy
Tanganga - Sellés
McGuinness - Sellés
Hjelde - Wilder
Peck - academy
Arblaster - academy
Chong - Sellés
O'Hare - Wilder
Hamer - Heckingbottom
Bamford - Wilder
Used subs:
Hoever - Wilder
Ings - Sellés
Cannon - Wilder
Burrows - Wilder
Rothwell - Wilder
