Rothwell & Jairo

I think Walker will be targeted to appease the bladey blade fans, but he's not the long term solution, I'd rather we used the money to bring in a young player for the future. Giving Wilder till at least Christmas is OK, but if he brings in journeyman and we're not up there challenging then he has to go and we'll be back to square one. The owners wanted to establish us as a premiership club, we are going backwards towards where Wilder came in if we're not careful, I hope he pulls it off
Really can't take anyone serious who espouses the bladey blade nonsense
For a start walker is one of the most successful players ever to play in this country and would only even consider us as he is a ' bladey blade '
It's pathetic and childish and doesn't make sense

Definitely seems strange one to me too haha but it shows where strength in depth is key. The qualities of Jairo is he is able to bring a calmness to a game, I would be nice for him to play every match but if he plays 90 mins and then misses 4 plus due to injury then definitely prefer the less minutes more matches option. I didn’t track him at Palace to know if that is a regular trait it could be the case with the overused cliche of a good preseason and he is able to go up to and past the 80 minute mark.
We can’t continue carrying 60 minute men on a big wage we have too many as it is

Makes sense for the club to take advantage of any connection a player of Walker’s calibre may have to the club.

In terms of the fans rather than the whole Bladey Blade shite it’s just better the devil you know. Makes sense that fans would want, for example, Souttar back if we could keep him fit. It’s just human nature.

I’d stay well clear of Souttar and Choudhury. As good a player as Souttar is, we could be getting another Tom Davies / Brewster after the injury he’s had this season. And Choudhury has hardly pulled up any trees in that awful Leicester team. Wages would be much better spent elsewhere.

Without contact football I imagine Jairo will go further than the 60 minute mark, it can’t be easy to be plonked in a struggling side after coming back from injury. Although we have plenty of cover in there to justify him having a solid 60-80 mins. When the CB partnership is properly settled and sorted that will make things easier too as Jairo has had to work on tracking back as well as gaining the forward momentum

Both but were trying for Walker or Choudhary at right back and we will try for Souttar. Interested in Esse on loan from palace too
Souttar might never be the same player again, we can't keep signing injured players, as for Choudhury, hes not as good as Seriki, we need pace and Serikis got it Choudhury ain't.

I just don’t think you sign Souttar unless you’ve done a thorough medical on him to understand how well he’s recovered.

Also on what basis are we entitled to think we'll be a promotion contender? It looks very much like setting up unrealistic expectations in order to bash the management if they aren't reached. Walker would also be an excellent signing. Nobody at this level would turn their nose up.

"A good pre season" is under utilised on here when many supporters think players can live on kebabs and chips, have a skinful a few times a week and still play elite sport two or three times a week. Jairo's conditioning is normal for someone with his profile. That said we need four or five who have done the pre season and can be rotated. We have three or for if Arblaster returns to form including Jairo whose conditioning is normal for now but will improve.
