His wages might drop substantially if he ends up in league 1, but it would be a mistake to buy him as a RB. If we buy him he's gotta be DM

Be just like this season, OK for an hour then they run out of legs. Don't get me wrong, I think Rothwell was excellent against Hull and did his job today but long term, the two of them would get played through.

Maybe not but for those 60 minutes he is consistent and you only have to look at the stats with him on the pitch, like today get 2-0 up and he can be replaced for the final 1/3 with a sub. The next challenge is trying to see if that can be pushed to 75 mins. Some of that game management might be due to him coming into the side when he did off the back of an injury. I would rather get 80% availability at 60 mins per match than 50% at 80 mins due to aggravating injuries

Predictable but uninspiring if true sadly. Choudhury turned out fine but there are better natural rb’s out there, and I thought he was majorly disappointing as a cm. Souttar was good 18 months ago, and both will be on big wages.

His comments on Lundstram & Hull pointed to this last week. We’ll be fine & at lowest mid table under Wilder, but that potential team feels like a step back towards last year’s style of play but with worse players - the team on paper feels drab & badly lacks the pace / athleticism / ball carriers we so desperately need.

I think Walker will be targeted to appease the bladey blade fans, but he's not the long term solution, I'd rather we used the money to bring in a young player for the future. Giving Wilder till at least Christmas is OK, but if he brings in journeyman and we're not up there challenging then he has to go and we'll be back to square one. The owners wanted to establish us as a premiership club, we are going backwards towards where Wilder came in if we're not careful, I hope he pulls it off

Definitely seems strange one to me too haha but it shows where strength in depth is key. The qualities of Jairo is he is able to bring a calmness to a game, I would be nice for him to play every match but if he plays 90 mins and then misses 4 plus due to injury then definitely prefer the less minutes more matches option. I didn’t track him at Palace to know if that is a regular trait it could be the case with the overused cliche of a good preseason and he is able to go up to and past the 80 minute mark.
