I made over 300 appearances for Nottingham Forest in the 80s/90s and scored over 100 goals. Don't worry lads, I know what I'm on about.

Not sure of the team ( might have been Norton Woodseats, pre-season friendly!?!) but Emlyn Hughes turned out for a side at the Coach and Horses I played against a good while back.
I scored through his legs as he 'raced' back to make a goal line clearance, shouting 'You jammy beggar' as the ball trickled over the line...I did stop and think 'Blimey, this blokes won the bloody European cup!'
Fair play to him for turning out, must have absolutely loved the game.
I think I played in Graves Park twice
There is no good pitch in Graves Park, played my first ever proper game of football on there in about 1984 and then spent a season playing on it. It was an advantage to have one leg longer than the other. Equipped you for later life playing in Concorde Park as well![]()

Out of everything I've ever done in my life playing football is the thing I was best at. Just a shame I never did anything with it.
There are five ex professional footballers in my family so maybe these things really are genetic.
I managed to trap a few beavers in my younger days tooManaged to get to the under 21 junior provincial final way back when I lived in B.C.played as a winger.Lost 2-0.
Gave it up to trap beavers.
With your track record Darren, I am not even sure you are talking about football are you?Southern Railway League Division 4 or something when I worked for the RMT. Us group of pasty office workers were regulary subject to double figure beatings by teams of shunters and such like
