It’s a foul cos he’s slightly mistimed it…..but no way it’s a red card- definite yellow, but Bindon would have easily been able to challenge the Brum player.

This all day long, definitely not denying a goal scoring opportunity as too far out for that with cover. It’s not excessive force, he has got that decision incorrect. To say the referee is usually a regular on the Premier League circuit he should be doing better than that

Just to add to that too the referee was about 40 yards away from the incident in the original screenshots he isn’t even in frame. In this one you can see him not quite over the half way line when it occurred. He needs to be closer up with play

Taking your point about EFL I will have a bite, he seemed to do alright at Oxford and Northampton before he joined us and did alright with us too in his 1st time. Some of the best modern day memories, have been in the last 10 years. Your point is that he isn’t one of the greatest managers in the EFL, you didn’t mention the best, so on that basis he must be one of the best based on recent achievements alone and I wasn’t after bringing back for MK2 or 3

There were three in the champoinship yesterday. Millwalls was as bad as ours and the Hull was one was near the corner flag and could only just be called a goal scoring oppertunity

Quite possibly.

I don’t know if it’s just me misremembering but 15-20 years ago I don’t remember players being as keen as they are these days to take a yellow to stop an attack. It used to be seen as a ‘clever foul’ but these days a blatant shirt pull or trip is par for the course to stop a promising attack before it starts. I wonder if this is a reaction to that.

Either way this epidemic of red cards since Jan has probably cost us 8-10 points.

Tanganga and Seriki were stitch ups, Soumare and Phillips very unlucky. I’d like to think these things even themselves out over the course of the season but I doubt it.

Every manager has limitations and the longer you get to know them the more you see the limitations as you have a wider birth of experience of him to measure it against
I’m not a hater of him but his limitations seriously frustrater me

Which for me is even worse the assistant being near side has at least one player partially blocking his view and he is 30-40 yards away looking at the wrong angle and he should be running in line with Bindon who was the 2nd to last defender so he is in a position to judge the offside. The referee knowing he was out of position probably did the old trick of asking him if he is having a nice day he nods his head and issues the red card. Good comms all around, but poor decision making
