Ridiculous.
Look at the squad - the poor signings made in the summer.
With no parachute's next year there's only one man I'd want pulling rabbits out of a hat and he's sat in the dugout.
Yes but as explained - the club has seemingly done nothing to rectify this still - as such Wilder is still the best option until this is sortedThere are plenty of people I would want handling transfer business. None of whom I would want doing first team coaching at the same time. For any club remotely describing itself as operating in the 21st century, those are two different jobs.

Yep and we're not going to repeat the errors of last summer, two weeks after one of the owners was preaching about Wilder being the right man.Yes but as explained - the club has seemingly done nothing to rectify this still - as such Wilder is still the best option until this is sorted
We aren't mathematically safe yet, you only have to look at Preston who were in the playoffs and now in freefall to see how easily we could follow if we aren't careful.Do we call time now to start preapring for next season or let him see out the meaningless end to the season?
Glad he stopped us from getting relegated, but clearly what he once had to push on is gone.
Without CW this season we would have been in the same boat as our illustrious neighbours. Be careful what you wish for.
I would be all for replacing him in the summer if the structure was in place to allow a different type of manager to flourish.
But it's not - and it won't be. So Wilder carries on unless we want a repeat of the Selles disaster.
It's not all been dogshit at all. We played really well in mid part of season - his remit was to keep us up and he's done it,simply put 'he's done his job'. Last couple of matches have been poor but he gets 8/10 for the season from me. Next season with a proper pre -season he and WE will do well.I mean if we continued to play utter dogshit once we got an easy run of games, you might have been right. However, we are now playing a different brand of dogshit, and we're mid table
Nobody is saying that,we are saying he's done well deserves another season that's it?Are you seriously making the implication that because Selles didn't work, nobody other than Wilder will work?
This is simply a view I can't get behind.Without CW this season we would have been in the same boat as our illustrious neighbours. Be careful what you wish for.

The belief that some on here have that Wilder is the only manager who can work on a limited budget or who could have got us safe this season is utterly bizarre. Are you seriously making the implication that because Selles didn't work, nobody other than Wilder will work?
Just thinking off the top of my head for experienced championship managers that don't have a Wednesday connection and aren't in a job (like Moore or Pearson). We are looking at the likes of Tony Mowbray, can't think of many others that would even want to take it on. Possibly Mark Warburton could be an option but he has been away from football for a bit.Working on a much more limited budget than we've had for years - Wilder is definitely the man I'd want in charge.
Can anyone list any better candidates?*
*Please avoid the usual suspects with a good last year and nothing more under their belts.
I bet it's a very short list.
Still waiting myself for some potential replacements being mentioned.Working on a much more limited budget than we've had for years - Wilder is definitely the man I'd want in charge.

How many points could we have gained in the period selles was manager? Let’s called it 7 points, 2 wins and a draw, where would that put us in the league? Add to that he’d have signed better players and probably gave the squad a better pre season I’d say we’d have gained more than 7 points in the period Selles was with us.Do we call time now to start preapring for next season or let him see out the meaningless end to the season?

Im sure in September they all wanted Philipe Clement instead of safe hands Chris to keep us up. Spurs fans want similar instead of some unknown (maybe) good manager.Unfortunately you're not allowed to ask a sensible question like this - well, you're allowed to ask it, but don't expect sensible answers - because when I asked this perfectly reasonable question last year when everyone was clamouring for a new manager, I just got a load of unrealistic, pie-in-the-sky answers, interspersed with a load of 'I don't care who we get, anyone's better than Wilder' nonsense.
And don't forget, this was when we'd just finished 3rd in the league, that this 'anyone's better than Wilder' claptrap was being hurled around!
