Worst performance of the season

Surely it can't have been the worst performance of the season?

Loads of experts on here had already made it clear that last Saturday's draw with WBA, was the worst game in the history of football.

This includes the dry bumming dished out by Ipswich, but at least they’re actually a decent side.

Norwich are not and they absolutely battered us for 90 minutes. Couldn’t lay a glove on them, second to every ball, on our heels if we do somehow win it back only to give it away again 10 yards up the pitch.

Bindon is the only player that comes out of that game with any credit. Every other United player who ended up on the pitch lost their individual battles.

Absolutely pathetic.

Having to time waste away at Norwich is poetic 😂

Wilder was out managed by a better manager, with a worse side. It happened at the Lane when Norwich looked doomed, it's happened today.
It happened last Saturday as well 👍

Norwich are similar to us in that they had a truly awful start to the season. Whereas last night was their 8th win in 10. Shit sides don't win 8/10 at any level of football.

I do feel the game was there for the taking. Happens all too often with United, get the lead and then don't kick on for a second.

For all this chat of "Norwich are the best team in the Championship at the moment", they lost their last home game against Birmingham, who turned up at Carrow Road having previously won 4 of 16 away matches this season.

Norwich are decent but we made them look an awful lot better by gifting them the ball and letting them attack at will. Our midfield was too deep and the strikers couldn't keep possession, not that it should have been particularly surprising given that Cannon has a season-long pass completion rate of around 55% and Campbell is this season's version.

What is clear is that Clement is a good manager. Wilder was comprehensively outthought (again) last night.

Norwich had so many corners and were consitently winning free headers from them, yet we didn't make changes. It was only a matter of time before they scored from one, we could see it coming a mile off. We had Mark M on the bench who wins headers in his sleep - we could have gone to a back 3, which would also have stopped them playing their wingers in on the left and right at will, which they did all second half!

I went to cook my tea at half time and missed the first 5 mins of the second half, when I started watching I thought "oh FFS who's been sent off now" as we were playing like a side with 10 men. really baffling how they just shat themselves.

Rothwell played some great passes when he came on you seem to have an agenda against him
Not really, my point was that Maghoma looks like exactly the type of player we should be signing - young, quick, skilful and strong.
At a rumoured less than a million, he looks a great pickup.
Rothwell is old, slow and his best days are long gone.

Rothwell played a couple of good passes (as well as one shocker, straight out of play 5 yards ahead of Burrows). He was also frequently bypassed by Norwich's runners because he can't turn.

We're a very good team when we stop panicking and try to have a go.
And a very crap one when we sit back.
Fairly obvious what has to change

You think norwich are a worse side about level id say

But he was available maghoma isnt nor will be ,by the look of our accounts we are almost skint ,which is somethinfg that people need to realise, our signings are about to become loanees for the imminent future

Cements the fact that we're very much a mid-table side who by definition, are going to be good one week and crap the next.

Just as long as we're not crap all the time which we haven't been, just frustrating that we can play decent, effective attacking football but seemingly choose not to.

Gave the pigs something to smile about

I know he wasn't available now, but was in January when we signed Rothwell.
If Norwich can outspent us when we still have parachute payments, we really are in trouble.
