Didn't help that Peck, Jairo, Brooks, Campbell, Seriki and Peck were totally cooked. I'd have left Jairo and Peck on regardless and subbed all the other off just to get a bit of energy out there with no faith in any of the players coming on. A bit unlucky that we had no Bamford (for Campbell). or Phillips for any midfielder.

We really need to rest all the youngsters before we break them
We need to sign a proper strength and conditioning coach. End of.

FFS shambles just another day as a blade. Fuck sake

What happened ? Seems some players are happy to take thousands a week out of the club but don’t show up. Must be nice

Cannon is a fucking joke why play him at all?

Feel like this game will be the start of wilders demise.. do respect the man what he’s done but also think we need something new

Sorry but that line up was ridiculous

Can someone please explain why the formation has changed recently ? Would appreciate it because seemed like we had a winning formula then we put fucking Tom cannon in the pitch? WHY?

Absolute disgrace so much potential in the players but they couldn’t give a fuck. Hope they all get sacked and have to work at the new McDonald’s drive through.

Thank you Wilder. You’ve done well. Now politely Fuck off you arrogant prick. Cheers - blade fans x

Have been a massive wilder fan but watching his team selection and subs think he needs to bow out .. for better or worse. Just go

Only joined in January.

Only started posting tonight.

Slags Wilder off, slags the players off, slags being a Blade off.

And uses the 'm' word, to boot.

Keep him, let him sort this mess of a squad out in the summer

Then see how it goes until Christmas

If it's not working then we can look for our craved modern progressive young probably foreign possibly transhuman head coach to really take us into the future and finally brightonbrentford the fuck out of it as is surely our destiny

Get a squad in place ready for preseason. Limit Jan and in season signings to 1-2. Get the best fitness and conditioning team in football. Fine players in situ heavily for not being fit enough. The only players that should have any excuses are players recovering from injury, young lads suffering burnout and injured players. If you have to go into the Jan market to make huge changes any club deserves everything that they get.

Is that the same Brentford who are currently 7th in the Premier League?

To be fair to Wilder he didn't have any decent strikers with Bamford out. If we are serious about next season we need to get rid of Cannon and Campbell. We need to sign 2 good strikers and will also hopefully have Bamford and One.
2 he brought in... one of em he paid 10m for

Why are our players always "cooked" and other teams who have played a similar number of games gambolling around like Foals?

Multiple factors. Attitude. When we sign players (Jan, mid season are sub optimal). For the youngsters the amount of football they're playing/burnout. Well run clubs bring the majority of their players in during the summer window, put them through a rigorous pre season and have them up to match fitness after a few two/three game weeks. That hasn't been United in the past two years.

So we're badly run then?

So we're badly run then?

Yep, albeit last season the takeover situation played a big part in us being badly run. The players in situ were fine. Compare Campbell/Hamer last season to this.

What the administrative side of the club's excuse is this time is beyond me. Bought shocking players, left us massively short in key areas meaning in season signings are desperately needed to fill big gaps; not put our players through the basic pre season fitness requirements for professional athletes leaving us hamstrung all season.

The players themselves also deserve criticism. We've gone from Egan, Stevens and Baldock going on their own post season training camps to players waddling around with spare tires because they could get away with it.

Cheers, aporeciate your considered replies.

You’d trust Wilder with signing strikers? After Brewster and Cannon I’d never let him sign one ever again, he’s bankrupted the club with those two master signings 😡

Yes Wilder signed Campbell and he was very good last season. He hasn't kept up this season so needs replacing. I know he also signed Cannon, he looked to have a good start with Stoke scoring penalties but he has been rubbish. I never wanted Cannon but hoped he would come good.

I don't like Wilder but we need to have a better option before he leaves. I wonder if our owners could persuade Rooney to get back into management.

After hearing Rosen's speech the other day talking about how thankful he was that Wilder agreed to come back and what a mistake it was to sack him one thing's for sure, unless there's a catastrophic Selles-like run of games Wilder will be here for a while.

Thank god for that then with our moaning lot houding we’d just end up with another Selles again.

100% - some people really think they could do better. Somehow I'm not convinced and would suggest sticking to FIFA
Well that’s a ridiculous defeatist mentality. Are the club still gonna employ wilder when he’s 78? There are plenty of young hungry managers out there that with a plan and a bit of backing could do well at a club like ours.

I dont know if people remember when Hecky and McCall came in and took training for the 1st time . They stopped training after a few minutes , called the team together and asked if that was normal. Basically it was all very half hearted , it may have been a PR stunt but they were just surprised at the lack of intensity .

Makes me wonder on the fitness side if this has crept in again , hard to tell as for some its been a long season but perhaps the lack of conditioning is a culture, really dont know but its a recurring theme.

And there are plenty of young hungry managers with a plan that could do as badly as Slav and Selles.

It's not like we don't have millions of other examples of other clubs sacking decent managers and getting worse. It's a gamble.

We can't be successful if we're not fit enough.

The rest is just noise if that's not in place. It should be a given.

Wilder isn't at the races in that respect

It’s not about Wilder - that’s the problem, some people think the rest of the fans somehow are disciples of Wilder when in reality it is the other way round with a small number of ‘fans’ hating everything about him. Like an echo chamber this gets worse and those individuals actually think they are right!
