New episode out. The first in a 2-parter about the Nigel Clough era. Thanks for all the suggestions and feedback so far

Cracking listen. Found myself rewatching highlights of games mentioned on the pod, especially the cup ones, some great memories. And some great names mentioned at the start too. Jasper Johns. Still remember that horror show of a professional debut.

Can't wait for the next one as the following season I stupidly thought promotion was going to be a formality in a weak league one and we royally cocked it up (again).

Cheers guys.

Another good listen - thanks.
I was with Roy…I thought we were looking into the abyss after Crewe.

And I did wonder whether you would go down kit wormhole when talking about the Cambridge match - the lesser spotted home shirt with red shorts & black socks combo. Shorts and socks combinations could be a topic for another day 🤣. For staters, Dave Bassett was good on this and had his reasons for chopping and changing, see Wimbledon in ‘90 and Everton in ‘91.

We're definitely going to do a kit episode. Got one coming up about shirt sponsors soon with Deadbat

Excellent listen again. Really enjoying these.
None of you could recall much about that Rotherham game we won 1-0 just before the semi-final where we had a lot of the kids playing but I do.
Big fat Steve Evans was in his first stint as Rotherham manager and he was very animated on the touchline and not happy.
Rotherham tried to kick us off the park. They were persistently fouling Maguire at corners and free kicks and the ref must have warned them about 5 times and eventually he got fed up with it and awarded a penalty, and I think their player got sent off, which Evans was livid about.

I do recall him being fuming but he always seemed fuming. I remember him saying we'd been saying all week that we would be playing our reserves but ended up playing our first team. Such a bitter man

Never the same after he lost the gig playing Les Campbell in Phoenix Nights.
