How many games does he have to play before I am allowed to voice my opinion? I have seen every game of his career with us and his weaknesses are obvious. There is a reason that he has never replaced Cooper this year, despite Cooper being clearly injured for most of it.

EDIT just seen the highlights from today and there were two rushes of blood from him that could have cost us dearly. I fail to see how a few games is going to cure him of the faults that have plagued him throughout the year.
Which bit of “a run of games” do you not understand? Judging a keeper after a run of games where they’re playing consistently is completely different to judging them after seeing them play the odd game every few months.

Every corner he was awful, looks like an outfield player that’s had to go in the nets. Given that people have been saying all season Coops is injured scandalous that we haven’t had fore sight to get a good back up in. Regardless of whether season over or not we shouldn’t have to panic every opposing attack.
Rather have Alan Woodward in goal!

What are the chances of getting a 'good' keeper who is happy to play the No2 roll week in, week out. If a keeper is 'good' he will want to be No1 and will be snapped up to be No1 elsewhere.
He's No2 for a reason and that is the way of football. We can't play our best eleven every week. Accept it and support the bloke. He will, I have no doubt, know what our 'loyal' supporters think of him through this and other platforms, but still puts the gloves on when needed.

I'd be slipping him £100k to fake an injury so we can get Dieng in on emergency loan

The people who want us to have a good keeper as a backup would also be the first ones complaining we were wasting the wage budget on 2 first choice keepers if we did do that.

There is nothing wrong with my reading comprehension. Playing 10 games(or 100) is not going to eliminate his consistent errors, as displayed over the last four years. Should we have given Lee Baxter a run of games?

You very clearly have absolutely no idea what you're talking about, so it's not worth carrying on this debate.

Here's my prediction. He will continue to drop bollocks on a consistent basis for the rest of the season, the defence will still have no confidence in him and he will end up being shipped out to a lower league team. Feel free to bookmark this post. I'll happily ignore the two fuck ups from today.

Time to make yourself a hero.
Just kidding.

How many points will he cost us between now and the end of the season?

I’m not sure whether or not I want to know if bringing in a new GK was discussed in January by the recruitment team.

That said, good performance today by the team though. UTB
We've wanted a different 2nd gk for a long time and now we know it. Good job we're playing for nowt

Bur we've had a bad number 2 fir years and been lucky

Adam is a car crash

Awful

And he won’t be fine at all IMO , every corner today exposed us as defensively lightweight . Add that to the erratic goalie - FFS
Why didn’t he have someone between him and the attacker like Coops does? Must’ve said he can’t handle it himself, but looked so weak and easily pushed around. I’d rather we had a cardboard cut out if coops in net, at least it would flap like fuck outside the area

Not got any better has he?
And he won’t.

Goalkeepers hit their peak later than other positions but you get a broad gauge of their capabilities early on.

He’ll never be good enough. Neither will Davies but today he kept a clean sheet so that’s all you can ask

I don't know what you are trying to say there. If we've had bad No2's for years, why are certain 'fans' suddenly ripping into the present incumbent to the extent they are?
Because for whatever reason, most likely injury I would say, his form has dropped a little bit.

I would also say that the lack of options have made us rely on him to the extent that hasn’t helped whatever the injury is whether it’s back, knee or maybe even both

Season is over , so it's time to give a chance to various players to prove they're worth keeping.

At least he touched the ball today.

Cannon never did - what an absolute waste of a shirt he is.

Coasts through a game while it passes him by.

Does literally nothing , causes the opposition no worries whatsoever.

Never mind the fee - that's a sunk cost - just get him off the wage bill , the "non-footballer".

Chong , whom I haven't rated too highly , played very well today and - like Campbell - was part of the 3 who made all the progress in the first half.
Peck - of course - was the leader of that trio and basically ran the entire midfield himself - what a player !
Is Cannon worth the reported £10million we paid, absolutely not however I have and it’s easy to do when not much is going on just focused on him as a player, you can see he is trying to make runs but not getting the service/the play doesn’t go his way. He is a confidence striker, he isn’t like Bamford who can link up play and score too, he runs the channels and hopes someone picks him out. Very similar to Campbell, who this week has looked excellent, his goal was top drawer and well deserved. Cannon has scored the same goals as Peck has this season from one game less and 1 behind Brooks and Campbell who have appeared in more matches.

Since Campbell has the form he should keep the shirt alongside Bamford. The problem with Cannon he was played on the left as a AM/Winger a more of a Hamer position and that’s not what he is there for. Realistically he should be subbing on for Campbell

He's more capable than most of our fans think.

Historically he's a keeper for a lower half champ side. So it's not like he's completely out of his depth.

Today he had two moments that could have been unfortunate. In the first half he rushed out to the side leaving the goal free. Similarly 2nd half he rushed out and their attacker took it away from him.

To be honest though he didn't have to make one save today. And that's the thing. Keeper is last line of defence. Yeah a good keeper can win tight games or be the difference. But overall it's the defence as a whole that helps keeps goals out.

Their ruled out goal too. Can count ourselves fortunate but linesman was right. Their player was interfering with Davies and then moves away as the header goes in. Certainly stopped Davies focusing on the play and was offside.

It's his chance to step up. I'm not expecting wonders but if he can get himself in form he can be "OK".

We have to try but top6 is probably done for anyway.
And you know what as disappointing as that is, we comfortably ain't going down. And back in mid October id have snatched you hand off for that.

Rabbit in the headlights, good job we’ve got nowt to play for!!!

Yup, let's chuck him under that bus with Tom Canon, Bindon and Soumare.

What? Bindon and Soumare arent't that shit?

Ok, let's just double up the grief for Canon and Davies then.

Unitedites, doncha just luv 'em.....

Grbic, Verrips and Davies all have the same uncanny ability to play like they don't have arms.

I don't have any confidence in Davies, and I hate to get at our players.
I'd completely forgotten about Verrips and his one and only appearance for us. I probably won't sleep tonight.

I'd chuck him under the bus, but he might allow it to slip under his body.
