We have the right to appeal the red card if we think we can prove it was a "clear and obvious" error by the Ref.

There's plenty of video footage of the challenge from different angles.

The chances of us appealing it? I think low.

In days gone by a challenge that took ball then man was just part of the game, even when intent was to hammer the player tackled. Probably not even a free kick awarded.

But that was in days gone by.

All our fans going on about our discipline only one team has less yellow cards than us.We have refs who have never played the game at a high level making split second decisions. If the rules were applied correctly we would have players sent off every game and at least 6 yellows for each team.Screenshot_20260223_063145_Chrome.webp

My point was about reds. We have the joint highest reds in the division based on this table.

To me this is another case of a ref being primed to look for certain things rather than simply reffing what’s happening.

If a player’s foot ends up on an opponent like that regardless of context it’s more than their jobs worth not to give the red card. The game is on TV, the incident will be slowed down best just follow the path of least resistance.

In a similar fashion corners or free kicks into the box - If there is any jostling safest decision is just to give a free kick to the defending team.

We’ve been on the receiving end of some crap decisions against the pigs this season. 2 nailed on penalties at their place plus Ings goal ruled out for a very debatable offside, now this.

If i understand the table correctly, it might not include yesterday as we are only on 32 games in that table.

In which case ' we are top of the league i say we are top of the league'.

Just to clarify, that is really poor because that relates to a lot of games minus players to select from.

Also to clarify, I thought it was a red yesterday, simply because if that happened to a United player, I would be screaming it was a sending off and you cant have it both ways.

Have we said yet whether or not we'll appeal Kalvin's red card?
Got until 5pm tomorrow if there was belief that was grounds too and then by Thursday to provide the evidence so either way he will be missing Wednesday night. But I very much doubt that we will appeal it especially after the post match presser from Wilder

Yeah , but this thread, and posts on loads of other is a depressing view on the mindset of many of our fans (on here anyway)
We are on a fantastic turnaround in form, just done our biggest rivals another double and just post after post of whining.

Leeds scum! 🤣
Dirty Leeds for a for a reason in it 😂😂
3 reds in what ? 10 games 🤣

Think Bamford a tad unlucky though. Reputation proceeding and all that. Seriki had about 4 dives looking for a pen and not one yellow.

Does Bamford's goal go down. as the quickest derby goal ever?
