RS were saying McCallum is out 6-8 weeks at least with a broken ankle so I think we can write off his season to be honest which is a massive loss.
Why their player was not given a red for this no idea. Even if you think its not a red it deserved a yellow for playing the part in causing the injury.

Wasn't Burrows on the end of a bad 50 / 50 the other night as well? Lately and last season it seems like the opposition can just clean our players out and barely get a card for it.

Bamford is absolutely quality at this level.

He's got great movement, composure and ability.

I've been so impressed by him since he signed.
Really stands out, as cut above everyone else. Has so many attributes, that it allows us to play different formations and styles of play. Such a clever player and yet when under the cosh you can boot it up to him and he'll hold it up as well.

Can't believe that he was without a club for months at the start of the season. Didn't just keep himself fit, but was pretty much match fit and could start right away.

Looked for a split second he was going to leather the ball, then just seemed to caress it into the net, class finish. Let's enjoy him while we can.
Why “while we can”?

Not having a go at you personally but I always see this “we can’t have nice things” narrative. Silent Blade also picked up on it on the Brooks thread.

Why can’t we enjoy him because he’s our player?

Even if we don’t go up I’m sure the Board will recognise that we can’t throw the baby out with the bath water.

We’ll need to drop some wages. But that’s the likes of Gus, who showed his quality once more but on whom we have far less reliance than last year. No doubt him and I dare say players like Davies won’t be retained. Wilder has shown himself to be adept on a budget. He’ll have some challenges shifting the likes of Chong and McGuinness.

But who knows? Hull City are looking vulnerable now and 6th is up for grabs. I can’t even say Ipswich are overly convincing presently either and Millwall lost at the weekend.

A really good run now and we could be wondering what all the fuss was about by the time the whistle blows against Derby.
