Ffs, haven't you heard yet ?
It WAS NOT THE BLADES that sent them down.
It was MR CHANSIRI .....what a guy 😍

I was told by one oinker that they were relegated in August. But that’s funny as Talksport just announced sheffield United have relegated sheffield Wednesday today!! Do they know something the rest of the world don’t??

We should be celebrating Wednesday adding to Sheffield's football firsts. Sheffield was the games birthplace, Sheffield FC the first club, Hallam FC has the world's oldest ground, the first floodlit match was here and now Wednesday are the earliest to be relegated and could well add the lowest ever points total and be the first team to achieve minus points in a season. They really are the pigs that keep on giving.

To the tune of American Pie's chorus

So I said bye bye piggy bastards
You came to the Lane and you lost again
And Bamford and Burrows were scoring goals
The day the piggies died

Yes, the result and ultimate outcome was what we all wanted and it's brilliant. But.....

This was the best opportunity we'll ever have to absolutely batter the pigs and finally put to bed the ridiculous boxing day nonsense.

For someone with his experience, Phillips was utterly stupid and put us under pressure. Ultimately we got through it mainly due to how shit the pigs are but at the end of the game I just felt relief we didn't fuck up another big occasion.

It’s not. As they continue their inexorable slide towards becoming our Notts County we will occasionally draw them in a cup. There will still be opportunities in future.

After living with my lovely better half for over 20 years now(2 lovely kids) I now have a genuine reason to look forward every yea4 to always celebrating a special date in February

22nd relegation day

Apparently there is another date but can’t think what it could be

I often wonder why they harp on about a game played over 45 years ago? You never hear us going on about the time we put 7 (seven) past them at the lane.

Why does there have to be a cut off point?

Each to their own but in 35 years time I'll still be talking about the Bouncing Day Massacre.

Never let it be forgotten.

We've just scraped a win against a blind, deaf one legged dog with diabetes and heart disease and we all want to gloat. Yes, it's funny as fuck that we "relegated" them at the worst place possible for them, but the reality is that they were down anyway and it just happened to be against us at The Lane that confirmed it. We should have battered them but after going 2 up decided to turn into show ponies in a training game.....then Phillips happened. 3 points and an improved GD should have been our priority, given how congested the league is trying to get top 6.

A symbolic moment. In that moment the fortunes of the two clubs relative to each other turned decisively in our favour.
For how long, who knows?. But I'm going to enjoy it while it lasts, starting with a trip to the pub right now and probably a thick head tomorrow.

I'd be worried if I were them.

Seriously worried. They believe they’re too big to drop further, they’re fucking not. They’re utterly abject not just on the pitch but off it too and I know that is stating the bleeding obvious but look at the whole picture at s6 and it is dire. No wonder they’re celebrating a 2-1 loss as some sort of mini victory because that is all they’ve had over us for nearly a decade now.

I can see where the sympathy comes from now…….a little bit.

This is just the start of their nightmare. They are going straight down to league two barring an ownership miracle

🤣🤣🤣🤣 could’ve picked a better disguise
