Looking at the back of the Argentina shirt, the top of the back might be red, but stripes below

Hope it is like that (minus the stupid white diagonal lines).

I do hope the addidas badge is off set to the left (as we look face on) as opposed to being in the centre, never been a fan of central badges as it does not give a shirt a balanced look.

Harvey Travis Will be pretty much bob on I reckon:

Would have liked to have seen a bit more black in it myself buts much better than the last few seasons

Harvey Travis can balls, I shopped that kit together 2 days ago and posted it to this very thread (#744 page 38)

Theres Pirates on these internet seas.

Jim Phipps has told me this isn't anything to do with our kit just, in his words " and advert to say woohoo we got adidas" !

Which is probably true - that image looks far too smart to be custom done for us. I can only assume the delay in more images is due to the fact they're waiting on the work experience guy to add the finishing touches to his MS Paint productions.

That's gotta be bollocks. The OS are teasing us with a "glimpse" of the kit. If the stripes end up being black on the sleeve for example, people could demand money back on what they pre-ordered.

The images we've seen must be of the kit.

yeah pretty sure the OS said it was unveiling more of the kit each day until release day.

Front should look spot on, back should have been striped but more and more kits seem to have plain backs these days

Latest teaser up on the OS. Today's theme is 'caring for your shirt'. Looks really nice.

It was particularly noticeable at Wembley (where you're miles away from the pitch) that our numbers were hard to read. A plain back helps to solve this. However - for supporters who don't want a number on their shirt a plain back looks rubbish. Must be some sort of compromise in between?

Said the same thing last time we had one, looks great (well, relatively, compared to stripes) with a number but not so good without. I suspect a large proportion of people have names and number, kids and for 40ths etc not to mention for footballing reasons as you mention.

From the templates out there for this season, plenty do have stripes on the back though.

Nice to see we have the 'fat-free' version of shorts as well, 'Adizero' :)

Agree that it's difficult to read the names & numbers on a striped shirt but I don't want a name on mine so frankly I don't give a damn. It may well be a nice shirt but we play in red & white stripes.

Also, what sort of a teaser is that?! The care tag?! Seems to further reinforce the plain back though.

This one really is easy. For the first 100 years (well since numbers were brought in) of the game most teams in striped shirts had a plain square patch on the back of the shirt with the numbers sewn onto it so the crowd could read it properly.

United seem to have forgotten this visual trick since the 1970s (no idea if it has been revived since?) and black numbers on a red and white background are unreadable to me.

So thats your compromise Berkshire.
