Oh no. Bye bye stripes then, solid backs every time. I appreciate that's what we have this season also. Personal Adidas favourite as in irony was when we had a Derby County kit for a home kit. That was back in 2019.

What logo have they removed? I know why they do it but who are they claiming is making the kit?

I cannot see that being the kit - the sleeves (cuffs) are the exact same as this season.

Great season but this was the norm under Adidas in terms of the lack of stripes. I support Sheffield United not Derby County

The Errea deal was with United World who we are obviously no longer part of. I heard the owners wanted to change manufacturer for a new deal last year but it was too late.

Brentford had the same shirt but with a red back and I think because of the white sleeves, it looked worse than ours:

But if they insisted on a WHITE back, Red Numbers and Red socks would have made it a bit more palatable:


To make it work with a red back, the sleeves needed to be red, but I actually think the white back looks better

At the very least they should be able to offer some stripes on the back, even within their reluctant approach to this. The type for their Newcastle kit this season is probably the best we could expect from Adidas.



I personally quite liked the Hummel approach to full-striped back alternatives this year in their Sunderland kit – a return to the number box type of design.

The Sunderland shirt is definitely on the right track. Amazes me every year that striped shirts are causing such problems for designers when it was resolved 40 years ago.

Do it striped. Make players shirts with blocks.
