A fully fit Barkley would be our best midfielder by some distance. Always looked comfortable in the Prem when fit whether with Everton, Chelsea, Luton or Villa.

Only question is whether he would be able to get fully fit for remainder of the season.

It was in response to the comment saying he'd been the best player in the Championship for Luton.

Personally, not ITK, I don't think he'll drop down. Last time he was struggling for games in the PL, he went to the French top league instead.

You don't start making direct inquiries unless you've been given some encouragement that the player would consider a move. I think he'll get better offers potentially but I think he must've already given word he'd be prepared to drop down.

I haven’t kept track of him much since 23-24 ,he made a mistake and went to Villa (money), as you say he hasn’t played much,he has not kicked on as forecast.

No chance this is happening. Happy to eat humble pie if it does. He was my favourite EPL player in Luton's premier league season. Absolutely took the p1ss even against sides like Liverpool where he ran the show.

It’s a risky transfer….a high risk high reward gamble.

So it all depends on the terms on the contract……would expect there to be loads of clauses and conditions.
Should be a low basic with a high appearance bonus,….then if he’s injured it’s not cost so much.

So if the price is right…..then yes…..he’s a quality player
But if he’s going to be expensive (which I think he’ll be) then probably no…..but it depends what our others ins and outs are.

I've got to confess regarding Bamford, I hated him when he was at Leeds for all the things he got up to! And when we became interested I'd lost all interest in him because of his past.... how wrong was i and relieved when he signed the contract, we'd look a bit lost upfront now without him

yes i also didnt like his antics and gamesmanship at leeds a total tosspot but now hes our total tosspot and is a class above our other 4 strikers imo would love us to bring piroe in from leeds that would be a classy front 2
