As a proud member of the biggest fan group of Fenerbahce we will be honoured to visit the home town where English football was born to share a pint and passion. I would like to thank Selahattin Baki on a personal level for his great effort to give us a chance to watch 2 great teams go head to head cheered on by the great blades and Fenerbahce fans. Love & respect to everyone x

Still awaiting confirmation of this but i think its one to look forward to. There must be loads of fenerbahce fans in england who will want to watch it too so could be a good crowd.
 
I doubt the enthusiasm will be quite there from our point of view though. It's only a friendly, to be honest. Can't imagine that many turning up...
 
would be very colourful to have pyro's in the ground, but things are different here, they won't even let a flag in at the lane without a fire certificate and the green man pub got shut down when we were at wembley due to a couple of flares going off!
 
We have never played a team from Turkey before. Off the top of my head, I think we have played teams from 52 countries outside England.

2. Sweden - ditto
3. Finland - one game in the 1990 Scandinavian tour
4. Denmark - first ever outside British Isles tour 1936
5. Scotland - numerous
6. Wales - ditto
7. N. Ireland - ditto
8. Eire - ditto
9. France - first played there in 73 I believe
10. Belgium - numerous pre season tours
11. Netherlands - ditto and we have had Twente at the Lane
12. Luxembourg - one game there 1960's
13. Germany - a few games with Einthract Frankfurt in the early 60's and the odd tour
14. Austria - played Grazer at the Lane in the late 50's
15. Switzerland - a few tours
16. Spain - 2 games with Seville in the mid 80's and we also played them in S America in 1966
17. Portugal - Benfica at the Lane in 1998
