According to Google - The full chemical name for the protein titinis is nearly 190,000 letters long, but it's not considered a "word" in common usage and isn't in dictionaries.
I was gonna copy and paste it but Foxy would go apeshit.

I like the name of that hill in New Zealand. Taumatawhakatangihangakoauauotamateaturipukakapikimaungahoronukupokaiwhenuakitanatahu
It was shoehorned into a song by Quantum Jump called The Lone Ranger from that there 1970's

Random, I know.

One of my favourites. That and The Naz and Wang Chung Dance Hall Days. There’s another of that era by Babe Ruth.

My information is that he’s renovating a property in S10.
If so,it would be reasonable to believe he’s staying.
True. If he's bought a van so he can nip to Jewsons for stuff, it'll be crap for driving down to Ipswich.
Plus, he can do a bit on an evening after training here. If he's playing further, by time he's back and made his tea, he'll hardly get any work done.

Completely unrelated to the thread but... any pics of the car? 😍
Unfortunately no, I lost quite a few from that period, but this is identical to mine...

The red RS2000 was mine, I was a big Ford man back then & this was an extremely rare factory X-Pack, built by Autocross & featured many extras, like a Quaife straight cut grearbox, uprated suspension & brakes & a blue printed Pinto enhine with twin Webber 44IBF carbs. It also had the special 7.5 in alloys, although not in this picture.REC13909-1_1.jpg.webp20250918_122429.webp

Right back option secured.

Keep Bamford.

Add perhaps Rothwell experience.

Get a keeper so we can fix Cooper.

I’d genuinely think we could go 2 to 2.25 points + per game until the end of the season if we did that.

Keeping Bamford is the number one priority for me, we seem like a completely different team with him in the squad.

When Seles was manager there was a total disconnect between midfield and attack
and altho we looked really good passing it sideways in the centre circle….we struggled to create chances and we never looked like scoring.

Bamford has similarities to McGoldrick…..in that he’s NOT a proper striker.
He likes to occasionally drop into midfield and he plays with intelligence in that space in between midfield and attack.

He’s slow but he’s always been slow but his movement is clever how he lurks in the shadows and defenders struggle to pick him up.
My brother said he’s like a poor mans Teddy Sheringham and I agree.

He’s more of a link player than a striker…..and it’s noticable how the midfield have more options when Bamford is on the pitch.
Also Bamford deserves a lot of credit because his presence has (finally) made Cannon look a much better striker.

Don’t think there is any magic to the Bamford signing or that he’s particularly talented or athletic, he’s just a very, very smart player and we’ve become used to seeing absolute morons play for us.

He nearly always makes the right decision at any given moment, whether that’s stretching play, dropping deep, picking a pass etc…

100% agree with this. Our satisfaction with too many players had the bar set too low. We accept mediocrity too easily.

Bamford is smarter, more intelligent and came to us fitter than too many already in the squad.

The 2016 to 19 squad thrived on fitness and chasing teams down.

It would be really good to know why that's dropped off so badly.

very good post some of our players leave a lot to be desired intelligence wise with some of their decisions on the pitch bamford is a clever player

That has reminded me of a time I drove my dad & a couple of pals to a Blades v Cov game sometime around 1989/90. At the time I had a Capri 2.8 Special with a Turbo Technics conversion, & my dads mates wanted to get back to the White Rose at Handsworth as soon as possible. I pulled up outside the Rose just seconds less than 40 minutes after we left the ground!

Should have kept it.

How much o_O o_O
