You can't help but feel he's weighing up his options otherwise he would have signed by now.
I don't doubt he's enjoyed it here so far and even that as an option he'd be happy to stay. Be nice to see some loyalty for giving him a shot.

However we are not privy to what contract we are offering and what the length of that is.
And then what his agent has discussed with other clubs here or even abroad (USA). Because like most agents they will have done.

Great idea but for a starters a few hurdles....

1) Who is going to sign Danny Ings
2) Danny Ings is on £30,000 a week until the end of this season (option to extend) so wouldn't be worth terming early
3) That won't be the blocker on whether Bamford signs, there will be 2 reasons.... A) Money, he was on £70k a week at Leeds on his 2nd contract after initial contract was worth £35k B) Contract security... Given Bamford's age (32) he will be looking to sign a 2/3 1/2 year deal to see him to the end of his playing career unless he goes to the end of the season and reassesses then. If he wants to play Premier League football the chances are he won't sign on again for us. The Ipswich rumours are valid in a sense that he is still young enough to finish this season and play next but can't see him there unless he is willing to relocate. If Cov put a contract down, I think he goes there though for the right money with a nice promotion bonus.

The point is still there he was a nomadic player before he matured at Leeds , he will not think twice if het gets a better offer

Assuming he lives in or close to Leeds, I wouldn't fancy that regular commute to Coventry. Well over four hours in the car every day even without the M1's regular traffic issues.
