I think I have finally worked it out on the third reading. I believe they are complaining that the Stoke fans clapped Cannon, applauded their red-carded player off the pitch, and then cheered when their own striker was substituted.

Correct.
See also the Wrexham goal where McCallum was pushed in the back.
Why can't refs see these? You can't change direction like that without being pushed. Newton's first (or is it second) law of motion.
You don't need to see the hand in the back to give it. The ref should look at the effect of the push not the cause. If a hand on the back doesn't cause any odd movement then he shouldn't give a foul either. There's too many of those too.

Yes, not easy to unravel, but you’re right. It was ironic cheers for Mubama when he went off earlier. The guy has a point, even though Mubama was rubbish, it’s a bit rich applauding the opposition’s winning goal scorer and jeering your own player.

Having said that, they are all clayheads, so any kind of logical thought would be a big ask.

The ref was letting all sorts go for both sides, they just didn't twig so kept throwing themselves to the floor.
The challenge on Seriki was very agricultural, and looked a nailed-on foul, but the ref must have got shit socks for Christmas so was fed up and didn't have the patience for footballers falling over at the slightest nudge.

I am glad he gave that red. Too many defenders get away with dragging attackers to the floor on the halfway line, only getting a booking because it's so far back and their defensive partner, who averages a 30-second 100 meters, could have possibly got back to cover. It was a professional foul with no intention to play the ball, he pulled him back: off you go.

Always gets me this; after a ref waves on the first 4 or 5 heavy tackles, it's clear they won't give any easy fouls, but the players just carry on falling over after a push - guys, the ref isn't going to blow for that in this game.
