Wilder's only goal for us was the penalty against Bury in October 1988. Dont know why the camera panned to him after Bryson's 2nd goal, strange hand signal for his celebration too!Dear Mr. Elton Welsby,

It fooled me, that's for sure!Wilder's only goal for us was the penalty against Bury in October 1988. Dont know why the camera panned to him after Bryson's 2nd goal, strange hand signal for his celebration too!
Another thing I always remember from that game was the kop chanting “Pearce lost us the World Cup” and seeing the look of anguish on his face..
Yeah but that’s because I didn’t have a car…John Barnes copped for it full throttle on opening day, back then the Lane atmosphere was amazing and folk didn't used to fuck off before the end of game to "beat traffic"
Who let England down? Stuart Pearce.....Another thing I always remember from that game was the kop chanting “Pearce lost us the World Cup” and seeing the look of anguish on his face..
my favourite anall birch but we were on the lane end boxing day 66 man united fans everywhere as there always was at both sheffield groundsGil Reece in 1971 in the 7-0 victory against Ipswich. And of course any of the multitude of Mick Jones headers, particularly one at the Kop end on Boxing day 1966 against Man Utd in a 2-1 victory. Jones was at least 30ft in the air. Or that's how it seemed to my 8 year old self stood directly behind the goal.....
