To be fair any of our players who always did their best and didn't leave under some sort of controversial circumstance should always get some appreciation.

I've never been able to understand why former players are routinely jeered. Unless they've been an absolute twunt there's no need for it.

Speaking as someone who thought Robinson should have binned by us years ago doesn't change my view of that. In fact I thought he played quite well for Birmingham today.

I was sure it must have been him who took out Hamer and gifted us the game. Imagine my surprise. His attitude must be infectious.

Well we haven't been fined for failing to control our players since he left

Wasn’t it rumoured that he was trying to put players off signing for us under Selles?

A few reasons I could be critical due to his attitude away from the pitch but nonetheless I don't get the boos.

His commitment surpassed a majority I've seen for us in my time and he was also s much better player than many we've had to endure over the last 40.years.

Won't go down as a Blades legend but I was happy to clap him off after the game as were plenty of others.

He'll have had nightmares once he found out he was playing left back up against a combination of Seriki and Chong/Brooks.

I never rated him a great deal and heard one or two rumours of him being a bit of a bully towards some younger lads but by and large he was a decent enough servant to us. I can't wish him any more or less than that but gave him a clap as he trudged off - he played a big role in us getting up under Hecky and that shouldn't be forgotten.

Was it just me or did anyone else think he mistook ironic cheers for appreciation when he went off before a few respectful claps took over?

That's exactly what I thought happened and it it made me feel really bad for about three seconds.

If there was a poll in here before the match asking whether Tommy Doyle or Jack Robinson will get the jeers during the match, nearly 100% would have said Jack Robinson!

100% but we do like a scapegoat. He always gave his best IMO, and I have no axe to grind with him. Put it this way, he will more motivated for Brum v Pigs than his team-mates.

That's what happened. A few ironic cheers and boos, he thought it was serious so clapped and then most our fans did clap. Not the greatest for me but he deserved a clap

I also never minded robbo. He had his limitations but never hid. Clearly had some issues with Selles but at least in amongst the disastrous lacklustre performances he seemed like he cared about what was happening to us.

That said, if I was in that away end when he went off and clapped the home fans, i'd be fuming!!

When he took long throw at Kop end in first half the Kop booed him but the South Stand (including me) applauded him. Mixed reaction. As far as I was concerned he always gave everything on the pitch despite his tendency to make the odd howler and deserved the applause.
I just shouted for him to throw it into Cooper’s hands like he did to most goalkeepers during his time at the Blades.

He did exactly for Birmingham yesterday what he did for us, fairly competent gritty player, then drops an almighty clanger every game. I couldn't care less he is a bit of a thug, he was/is a total liability, was bought for back up and should have been just that, Circumstance meant he played and I'm afraid he wasn't/ isn't good enough. That said he got a clap from me - because whatever you say he definitely tried/ cared. Plus antics at Hillsborough were things that dreams are made of.

People who stood up and clapped him as he went off... why?
Limited player with a Sunday morning mentality. Maybe the claps were because despite that he gave all of what little he had, despite a long throw that was easier to read than Clifford The Big Red Dog

I think a lot of people assumed it was JLT's back pass that lead to our second goal. :p
Yes, I saw the back pass but couldn't see who it was as it was at the other end, then everyone started singing 'Jack Robinson Olé Olé!' so I assumed it must have been his back pass that went straight to Hamer. So I was confused when I saw it on TV and realised it was Keshi Anderson's back pass. Especially as he's not even the same colour!
