CONFIRMED Patrick Bamford

Appreciate I'm not necessarily adding any groundbreaking insight here, but this is the truth (and only my 2nd ever ITK after James Beattie):

I know someone who is very close to "Pat" Bamford and they never tell me anything. But this week they've squeaked that it's genuinely a 50/50 whether Pat stays or goes elsewhere. He loves Wilder and would happily sign but he does have some great options on the table (more lifestyle than anything). Most likely scenario if he does stay is agreeing simply the rest of this season, which would give Pat and his folks more time to decide what they want to do next year.

Also we have Frank Lampard to thank that Bamford came in the first place. Lampard personally intervened to convince Wilder of Bamford's fitness/durability.

He's been far better than I expected, so I'll have a small slice of humble pie.

I din't want him because he was Mr DirtyLeeds and very anti United, but CW has kissed and made up on that one.

I also said he doesn't score enough (slighlty less than 1 in 3, including Bielsa's free scoring sides), but he's shown he is at least as good as what we have.

My final reason, was his sick note tendencies. He's been pretty good so far, for someone without a proper pre-season, but I think the jury is still out on this one, Should he take part in most of the rest of this season;s games, then I'll happily have that other slice.

If shoulder it’s not offside anymore… “The hands and arms of all players, including the goalkeepers, are not considered” looking at the best still I could get their defender is stood on the 6 yard line which is quite handy. These are the ones that could go either way, if that was ruled out for offside as the ball has travelled along way in a short space of time, there probably wouldn’t have been too many complaints. Although it would have taken VAR 5-10 minutes to give the goal which is why I am happy for luck to be with or against us.

Hands and arms aren't considered because you can't score with them, but you can score with your shoulder. Pretty sure sleeve line up is considered. Sleeve line down is disregarded.

Definitely can score with your shoulder in theory. According to the Law “For the purposes of determining offside, the upper boundary of the arm is in line with the bottom of the armpit” not quite sure why they over complicate it so much how is an assistant referee supposed to spot that from potentially 50 yards plus!
