My worry with: Bindon, Mee and McGuiness is that they've all looked good with Tanganga as a partner, but poor with out him. We can't be in a position where we can only have a solid defence if Tanganga is playing as part of the two.
I'd guess we'll see a bit more of Bindon to judge him more fairly in the coming week or so. I'm not sure whether he has the athletic qualities to complement Mee or McGuiness

I gave him plenty of stick and I’d be delighted to stand corrected. In his defence he was asked to hold a high line with Hamer, Peck and COH as a central midfield in front of him.

Selles system was diabolical and no one would have had any belief in it. He deserves a fair crack of the whip like them all.

Whilst I agree he’s been poor for us, I struggle to understand how a player can be so good at League One level and then not be good enough for the Championship, the gap in quality of the divisions isn’t that big.

For whatever reason it hasn’t worked out so far, but I reckon he’ll end up playing the majority of his career above League One.

We definitely could do worse than Bindon as our "4th CB", but surely at his age he probably wants to go somewhere to play weekly. He could easily get another loan move in Jan if we sent him back. or we keep him on loan for this season, in which case we probably drive up his fee a bit.

NZ are in the World Cup, so you'd think he'll want to play somewhere to give himself any chance of making the squad

If he is for sale you could imagine it would be a case of Forest wanting their money back.

As for Sasnauskas and Zätterström, both should really be out on loan and having Bindon permanently shouldn't affect their development too much.

They're all in that same age bracket 18-22 while our other CB's are all a few years older at least, so having all three on long contracts would be a good potential future plan.

McGuinness is 25, Tanganga is 26/27, Mee is 36 I think, so having some long term options to replace them when/if they leave would be good.

That being said, while Bladeshub gets the occasional thing right (usually what has already been posted by other people), there's no guarantee we'll sign Bindon permanently.

He's 4th choice here at the moment, and if Godfrey was available he'd likely be 5th choice instead, so who knows what will happen with him in January.

Tanganga and Mee is our best combo.

And Bindon isn't good enough to warrant playing Tanganga out of position.

When McGuinness is back, I'd stick him straight in.
