Sheffield Wednesday record attendance - was 72,841 - also in the FA Cup 5th round - on 17 February 1934 v Man City (2-2 draw).

United beat Leeds United 3-1 in our record attendance match.

Just noticed that the programme sold for £750 plus costs making approximately £1000. Cheap at twice the price !!

This sold at Sportingold Auction last week. It is quite possibly the oldest known surviving United programme dated 26th March 1894. United didn’t produce programmes regularly until the 1897/98 season. We were a mere 5 years old and it was our 2nd season in the football league and our first in the top flight. As shown, Colin Morris and Dean Hammond played up front for the Blades
