Last night was a different approach in that we got the ball forward quicker, moved the ball down the channels, less laboured and moved the ball forward at a greater pace. You saw Peck attacking in transition more. It was much more like it.
I’m hoping we continue to move away from trying to control possession as too often we are overplaying at the back and conceded possession in really dangerous areas. We don’t have the quality to do it. Getting ball forward quicker is much more effective - lost count of how many flick ons that McCallum won from diagonals and goal kicks. It’s also a much better watch!
